"Why would we do that." Devon asked.
"Because, since you are so great, if you come to the capital and become court magicians, you will definitely recieve massive rewards."
When they heard this, the three looked at each other, and then turned away from the group to discuss. Each coming up with different thoughts.
Devon:' Just think about all the delicious food. I have to agree.'
Dimitri:' Just think about all the dates me and Charlotte can have. I have to agree.'
Dimitri and Devon both had possitive outviews on this but someone thought of something else.
Charlotte:' Just think about all the women that will be around Dimitri. I can't agree.'
Dimitri and Devon:"Yes."
Charlotte:"No!"
"Why?" Devon asked.
"I don't want to." She said crossing her arms and turning around.
"Come on Charlotte, just think of all the shops we could visit." Dimitri persuaded.
"And all the different types of food." Devon chimed in.
'Shopping and eating dates with Dimitri!'
"I agree."
"Great!" Dimitri and Devon both exclaimed.
The then turned around and looked at the four people, saying together:
"We will come."
"Awesome. Well, lets get going, we should report our findings to the adventure guild right away."
"Ok, captain." The people behind said.
The captain then led the way as the three floated in mid-air following them. As they returned one of the young men asked Dimitri if he could ask him something. Dimitri then moved closer, being out of ear reach of the other two.
"Are you and the girl dating." He asked, simple and straight to the point.
"No, why?" Dimitri answered simply.
"So, does that mean I can ask her out." He asked excitedly.
"I guess." Dimitri answered with a strange smile.
Just then, everyone heard a noise coming from the side.
As they turned, they saw a massive tiger.
"Demonic tiger, everyone in formation." The captain shouted.
"Yes sir."
Everyone then prepared. The girl standing behind with a staff, started casting a spell. The captain and the other man in front of her getting their sword ready and the young man from just now, sranding in front with a shield.
The tiger then rushed towards the group and the young man raised his shield, preparing for impact.
Just the a sudden strong wind blew, concentrated on the young man and knocked the shield out of his hand. He turned to look for his shield but just as he turned the tiger bit his neck, crushing it completly.
"Janed!" Everyone shouted.
Everyone was sad with the loss of their friends life, however they couldn't mourn his death yet, as they had to deal with the tiger.
Just then...
Swoosh
A wooden spear stuck out the ground, penetrating the tiger and killing it instantly.
"Sorry, I reacted late." Dimitri said from behind apologetically.
'Did he just instantly kill a demon tiger?' They all thought.
"No, it's okay. We easily survived thanks to you." The captain said.
"Why don't you three bury him. We can wait a bit." Dimitri said.
"Thank you, thank you."
They then went to their fallen companion. Just then, a hand grabbed Dimitri, pulling him behind.
"Sorry Charlotte, I quickly have to ask Dimitri something." Devon said as he led Dimitri away.
"Oh, okay."
When they were out of earshot distance, Devon spoke.
" Why did you kill him?" Straight to the point.
"He coveted something he shouldn't have." Dimitri said simply.
"Oh what, did he want to ask Charlotte out or something." Devon asked sarcastically.
"Yep."
Shocked, Devon asked "And you killed him for that?"
"I already said that anyone who wants Charlotte would die by my hand."
"Yeah, you did, but tecnically he didn't die by your hand but a tigers mouth."
"They still have to lead the way so how can I kill one of their teammates."
"Yeah. Let's return."
Then they turned around and left.
"We're back Charlotte, are they done yet?" Dimitri asked.
"Yep they just finished."
Dimitri then asked the captain if they're ready to continue.
"Yeah, let's go."
