Chapter 38 - The king of the rock 4

As we approached Casterly Rock, I opened my eyes slowly, greeted by a glowing screen that appeared before me, demanding my attention.

(System Updates)

[1. Several dungeons have been placed throughout the world and are ready for clearing.

2. Class expansion: New classes available; to unlock more classes requirements must be met to access them.

3. Bloodline feature added.

4. Professions feature added.

5. Party system feature added.

6. Upgrade quest limits removed.]

I blinked, absorbing the new features. The mention of "dungeons" immediately intrigued me, and with it came an influx of knowledge about their purpose.

Curious, I decided to check the new options. Opening the Classes tab, I saw that, for now, only a few classes were available to me.

Fisherman

Student

Teacher

Basic choices, but I'd work with what I had for now. Moving on, I tapped the Bloodline icon, represented by a glowing drop of blood.

[Bloodline Feature

Blood of Lann the Clever

Blood of Gerold the Great

Blood of Lord Tywin Lannister

Blood of the Halfman (Transmigrated)

Lannister Bloodline]

I read through each entry, analyzing their descriptions and effects.

A thought struck me. If my actions in my past life, like becoming the first King of the Rock in over 300 years, could give me so much renown throughout the continent, then could I forge a new bloodline in this life? My half man bloodline came from the me of the past when I was still a dwarf so why couldn't I create a better bloodline, in this time around.

Quest Added

[Return to Origin]

Objective: Become a figure of great renown.

Optional Objective: ???

Reward: Creation of a new bloodline, 1,000,000 credits.

Optional Reward: ???

A smirk formed as I closed the screen. The challenge was daunting, but it was a goal worth striving for.

Next, I explored the Professions tab. Unlike classes, professions focused on specialized skills like gardening, alchemy, and blacksmithing. Unfortunately, most were locked due to my "low magic stats,". Unlocking them would take time and effort.

The Party System feature intrigued me as well. It allowed me to share system-related benefits with others during dungeon runs.

And the removal of upgrade quest limits? That was self-explanatory and a much-needed relief.

Satisfied with the new updates, I turned my attention back to the Classes tab. With a deep breath, I made my selection.

I picked this class for one simple reason. It was the easiest one to complete. Currently I had three classes available. This one and the two other ones that weren't exactly great. And this one was the easiest one to complete.

-later-

As we docked at Lannisport, the familiar sights of the bustling harbor and the smell of saltwater filled the air. Without wasting time, I disembarked the ship with my men.

Before stepping further into the city, I ducked into a shadowed corner and quickly changed out of my armor. The golden lion emblazoned on my chest would attract too much attention. I carefully packed it away into my inventory and pulled on a simple hooded cloak.

I adjusted the hood to conceal my features. My family's seed had left its mark across these lands. Thanks to my ancestors lust, blonde hair and green eyes were as common as the grass in Lannisport and Casterly Rock. However, my striking purple eye a deformity I still kept with me despite my second life set me apart. To avoid drawing suspicion, I kept it hidden under a bandage.

Moving away from my crew, I walked slowly through the streets, blending into the crowd. Most of the smallfolk had never laid eyes on their lord, let alone his heir, but I wasn't foolish enough to rely on that anonymity. Better to be cautious than careless.

I turned into a quiet alleyway, scanning my surroundings to make sure no one was watching. Once I was certain I was alone, I activated my Doppelgänger skill. My current body began to dissolve, a strange, almost ethereal sensation overtaking me. In seconds, the clone I had created earlier became my new main body.

-later-

As my two consciousnesses merged, a familiar sensation washed over me like waking up from a long, lucid dream. Blinking, I looked around and found myself standing in my room.

I was back home…

The space was just as I had left it, unchanged despite the time I had spent away. The clone hadn't done much in my absence, merely going through the motions, ensuring nothing seemed out of place.

Shaking off the lingering haze, I stretched before pushing myself off the bed. There was no time to waste. I had returned, and now it was time to continue my day as usual and besides there's something I wanted to do.

-later-

As smiling to myself, I dash the attack of a squire as another tried to hit me with the wooden sword as I reflected it with my own sword. Grabbing the other one, I blocked in oncoming attack coming from two other Squires, which I threw at them the one I grabbed as I immediately concentrated on the other one that once again try to hit me as I smack the wooden sword straight out of his hands using my own wooden sword.

"Very good, my young lord," Ser Benedict Broom, the master-at-arms of Casterly Rock, praised from the sidelines.

I merely nodded, readying myself for another round when a familiar voice cut through the courtyard.

Turning my head, I saw a man I hadn't laid eyes on in a couple of moon, and one I had held a great deal of appreciation for in my previous life.

He stood tall, his golden hair darker than mine, almost bordering on brown. His emerald-green eyes shone, a stark contrast to the usual cold intensity of our family. Dressed in an elegant red outfit, the proud lion of House Lannister emblazoned on his chest, he was unmistakable.

"Uncle," I greeted, smiling as Gerion Lannister approached.

In my past life, I had loved my uncle dearly. He was one of the few Lannisters who had ever shown me genuine kindness. But as I looked at him now, conflicting emotions swirled in my chest. I knew what fate had in store for him. In a few short years, he would set sail for the ruins of Old Valyria in search of Brightroar, our family's lost ancestral sword. He would never return.

Would history repeat itself?

My thoughts were cut short as Gerion ruffled my hair, grinning down at me. "Your father is waiting for you in his office," he said, giving me a firm pat on the back before turning away.

I watched him go, knowing I had much to think about. With a deep breath, I turned on my heel and made my way toward my father's office, preparing myself for whatever awaited me behind those doors.

-later-

As he buried his face between Genna's breasts, he let out a sigh, allowing her to run her fingers through his long, silvery-gold hair.

Unlike his past life, things had taken an unexpected turn. His father had successfully betrothed his sister, Cersei, to the new king of the Seven Kingdoms, Robert Baratheon.

His father had also managed to secure a royal pardon for Jaime, releasing him from his Kingsguard vows. Now, Jaime was only hours away from returning to Casterly Rock, reclaiming his place as heir leaving he once again in the shadow of his older brother.

His father had broken the news to him earlier that day. With Jaime's return, he was no longer the heir to Casterly Rock. To make matters worse, his father had decided he would be sent to King's Landing to serve as Robert's squire, accompanying Cersei as she left for her new life as queen.

Tonight, a grand feast was being prepared to celebrate Jaime's return, yet he found little reason to celebrate.

And so, he lay in his bedchamber, seeking comfort in Genna's embrace as she held him close, running her hands through his hair.

His hands slowly started caressing her back immediately making Genna know what he wants. As his face lift it up to kiss her. Genna breast squishing themselves on his chest.

This was a large setback but for right now, he was going to enjoy himself.

-Ser Emmon Frey-

The short, thin man walked through the grand hallways of Casterly Rock, his footsteps echoing softly against the stone. As he passed by a particular room, he paused, hearing the unmistakable sound of moans from within.

A knowing smirk crossed his lips. So, the boy has finally become a man.

It hardly surprised him. If anything, he had half-expected it. A young lord of Tyrion's status taking a maid to his bed was nothing out of the ordinary especially in a house like the Lannisters. He had seen his own brother-in-law, Tywin, do the same in his youth. His wife, Genna, had often remarked that of all her brother's children, Tyrion reminded her the most of Tywin, rather than the Kingslayer or the future queen.

With that thought, Emmon simply continued on his way, deciding it was best not to interrupt the young man's… enjoyment.

-Tyrion-

As he lay atop his bed, Genna resting on his chest, both basking in the afterglow of their time together, a familiar notification appeared before his eyes.

A smug grin crossed his lips. Not bad at all.

Shifting beneath him, Genna stirred as he playfully smacked her ass, watching with satisfaction as her the large flesh jiggled. She let out a soft, sleepy groan before blinking up at him in mild annoyance.

"We need to get ready for the feast," he reminded her. "It wouldn't look good if we didn't show up."

Her eyes widened slightly as realization struck. Quickly, she sat up, gathering her clothes. "I'm heading to my chambers to wash up. You should do the same," she said, fastening her dress.

He merely nodded, watching her leave with an amused smirk. Once she was gone, he turned his attention to his wardrobe, rummaging through his fine garments, deciding what he would wear for the night's grand celebration.

As Genna slipped into a new red dress, she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, a soft smile gracing her lips. The maids worked around her, adjusting the fabric and ensuring she was properly adorned for the feast, a grand celebration in honor of her nephew.

Yet, despite the outward excitement, her mind was elsewhere. Another blonde-haired Lannister occupied her thoughts, sending a shiver down her spine. A mix of emotions churned within hershame, guilt, and… longing.

She adored Tyrion. Loved him dearly. But love was not what had transpired between them. She had lost control, succumbed to something wicked, something forbidden.

She had committed an abominable sin, one the Seven would judge her for when her time came. And now, her body bore proof of her transgression.

The realization had struck when the moon passed, and she did not bleed. She had given birth twice before she knew her body well enough to understand what it meant. She was with child.

His child.

A part of her recoiled at the thought, but another… another part of her couldn't deny the truth. She had become addicted to Tyrion's touch, his presence, the way he made her feel. It was wrong, it was sinful, but every time he reached for her, she found herself powerless to resist.

Perhaps his departure to King's Landing would be a blessing. With him serving as the new king's squire, she might finally be free of this madness.

But she knew better.

She had already ensured her presence in King's Landing, convincing Tywin that she was needed to help Cersei adjust. This time, there would be fewer Lannister soldiers, fewer familiar faces from the Westerlands. Her presence would bring comfort to Cersei, and so, her brother had agreed.

Her husband, her children, all of it would come with her. And yet, she knew deep down that it wouldn't stop her.

She would spend even more nights in her nephew's arms.

As the maids finished, Genna took one last look at herself. The Faith declared incest an abomination, a crime against the gods.

But now… now she understood why the Targaryens had held onto it so fiercely.
