The moment I stepped into the hallway, The many students passing by had glanced towards the missing limb. Looks of sympathy and a mix of disgust were aimed. Whispers filled the hall and I was the center of attention even if for only a moment. Reaching for the door to my classroom I entered seeing just about halve the class already in there. Eyes shot to the open door only to lay them on a figure they wouldn't have thought to see.
"Howdy, Did I miss anything while I was gone?" Though few had kept their eyes off the nonexistent arm others could help but stare. "Uhm no Hunter this is the day we come back since the U.S.J attack." Hesitant, Momo the class president spoke up trying to keep eye contact. "So It's Monday again and I didn't even get to enjoy the weekend." A couple small smiles broke out for the remark. The door slammed open this time revealing Ochaco, Ida and last Izuku. "Guys Hunter's missing we hav-." Izuku's words cut watching me turn from Momo.
A hint of jealousy entered her eyes before she dashed, Arms wide tears already coming out she jump. The tackle would have successful if a chain didn't wrap around her torso. Before she could do anything else the chain was brought in making her come closer. Since I was shorter than literally almost everyone I could only put my head on her chest as the chains faded. This was apparently a mistake with the strength similar to her mothers with the addition of one for all, It seemed I might make another visit to recovery girl.
"MY RIBS OH my ribs!" I could help but try to tease. While the others watched the spectacle, The rest of the class came in sitting down or talking with their friends. The bell rang with Izuku simply dragging me along not wanting to let go. Aizawa walked in almost completely bandaged. From within Izuku's arms I almost chuckle. "Looks like you got the worst of it." "At least I'm not being crushed today." Was the immediate response as he went to his desk.
A rei smile crossed Aizawa's face the moment he looked back the class seeing Hunters wide grin. "Alright class, we have something important to discuss but first, Izuku let go of hunter and let him return to his seat." Aizawa ordered and Izuku very hesitantly let go. Breathing a little more comfortably I went to sit behind Asui who looked a bit worried.
"The U.A festival is coming up." "Would it not be a bad Idea to hold a festival after we had experienced a villain attack recently." Ida asked confusion lacing his voice. "If we were to stop the festival due to some villains, Then schools reputation would suffer as well as other villains would most likely take this as an advantage and raid the school regardless. We can't allow them to think they damaged us in any way, So in a weeks time the schools festival will begin and I want all of you to give it your all to show that they haven't slowed us down."
After his pseudo inspirational speech he explained in some detail of the workings in the sports festival, Including how large it is, The hero's watching as well as internships. Though only minor details of that last one. Asui turned around at the end of the speech around asking question. "Hunter are you alright? When did get released Karo?" I looked at her and before I could say anything Kirishima had already asked a question. "Are you ok? you were out for a while."
Inhaling once more I was stopped from talking when Izuku seemed to sneak behind getting ready to crush me in her grip. A chain shot out wrapping around her torso again. She huffed and crossed her arms again. After telling the a short story and finishing the rest of the classes It finally reached the end of the day.
I walked to the entrance of the school Izuku along side me. "So how's your mother taking me being unconscious?" I asked taking in the scenery of the city taking my time before we fly off. "Like I did, She cried as much as I did. So don't be surprised when she crushes you." She smiled hanging on to my arm clinging to me a lot more. "Are we going home now?" Izuku asked. Nodding I use a chain and summoning my wings I take off.
I setting Izuku down then stood right behind her as she went to open the door. I could hear Inko talking to Mitsuki explaining how she was worried about me probably for the dozenth time. Staying right behind Izuku I listened as she spoke to Inko And Mitsuki. Until Mitsuki asked a question. "Who's behind you?, Trying to sneak someone in huh?" She had a smug expression on and Izuku looked confused before realizing what I was doing.
With a smug expression of her own she lifted me and showed me like a prize to Inko and Mitsuki. The blonds smile fell seeing the lack of an arm and on closer observation the bandages that could be seen through the uniform. Inko had a completely different reaction, She jumped up covering her mouth keeping tears from her eyes or at least trying to as she made her way to me and Izuku.
No word were spoken as she grabbed onto me hugging me tightly enough to not hurt. By the end I was finally let go and headed for the shower. Mitsuki left going to go check on her son. Night soon over came the skies and I good to go to sleep though this time I didn't mind Izuku and her clinginess. Both of us slept very comfortably only problem was the fact I was the little spoon.
Waking I found myself lying by myself. Looking at the clock I got dressed when it read 7:27. I quietly walked out of the room continuing to mask my footsteps. I found Both Izuku and Inko making breakfast. "MMM how lovely." The smell of good ol' American pancakes and how lucky I was to see chocolate chips. "Oh just in time, I was already coming to wake you." Izuku said turning to face me with a stack of pancakes on a plate.
Taking a step forward I was caught off guard when Inko moved with blinding speeds. Blinking I was already enveloped in a bone crushing hug. "I was so worried I thought were going to leave us, Why can't you guys be safer?" Inko's worries had finally burst out. She let go after a minute of prodding and persuasion from Izuku allowing me to breath once more.
After breakfast and a few hundred promises to Inko we set off to school. There was no amount mana that I could have that would replace this new family feeling I had...Scratch that there may be an amount.
