The otherworldly god let out a chilling laugh, his voice echoing across the battlefield, as he kicked the stunned paladin who had lost his shield. The unfortunate man flew like a rag doll, crashing to the ground without so much as a scream.
Two more paladins rushed in from opposite sides, their spears aimed at his neck and abdomen. They moved swiftly and precisely, but the god's reaction was swifter. He conjured claws of black energy to deflect one spear and swung a shadowy tail to hurl the second paladin away.
"Pathetic minnows dare to challenge me?" the god sneered.
Sensing an attack from behind, he lashed out with his black aura, grabbing a paladin mid-strike. The man struggled in his grip, shouting defiantly, "In the name of Radiance…!"
The god responded with a mocking laugh before twisting his hand cruelly. The paladin's neck snapped, his lifeless body crumpling to the ground.
"Radiance? Don't make me laugh. That pathetic creature is worshipped as a god?"
