Darren's POV
He stayed silent and motionless as the minutes passed by. He wore an ugly expression on his face, anger and fear contorting in a weird way as they struggled for dominance. I relaxed in my chair, my eyes looking past him before closing.
He stood there for an hour, his anxious heart beating and I thought he had realized the situation and how wrong he was. Unfortunately, I was far from the truth.
In the next three seconds, he rushed to me, a dagger in hand. I was shocked at his boldness that was drenched in stupidity. What made him think he could win against me in a fight, even if he had the element of surprise?
I easily grabbed his wrist and the endings of his right hand, my eyes still closed and legs still crossed. I squeezed hard, forcing him to drop the dagger. But he wasn't ready to give up.
