The sharp sound of glass shattering sent ice straight through Lucky's veins. A wave of fear washed over her, and her thoughts began bouncing around chaotically.
How many were there? How long until her father's warriors arrived? Should they stay on defense, or attack the rogues? She tried desperately to calm her mind, the thoughts racing through it were crashing in to each other and making it impossible to come up with a strategy.
Then she heard a familiar voice in her head. Nyah!
"What are you doing cowering in a basement? You are the damn Las Vegas wolf! You can handle a couple of rogues!" Nyah scoffed, "you are a Moonchild, blessed by the Goddess herself. Don't underestimate yourself, or me!"
