When Jacob got the mind link from his mate, he sprinted towards the woods, shifting in to his huge, formidable wolf on the way. His clothes tore apart in the process but he didn't care, all he could hear was Amanda's panic filled voice in the mind link about being attacked by Gina's wolf. He didn't care about anything but getting to Amanda.
When Lucky saw him running for the woods like that she knew something was wrong. She leaped to her feet and started running after him, quickly followed by Traven, who looked as confused as she felt. They didn't shift yet, not sure what they were running in to. Jacob clearly thought it was urgent, and that was cause for concern.
Jacob quickly honed in on Amanda's scent, and of course he was the first to arrive at the scene. What he saw made his blood run cold.
