After Sirius's trial the end of the Hogwarts year commenced, the last day sprinkled with the trickery and chicanery of students running amok of the honestly pitiful rules. The Weasley twins pulled off their end of year prank that saw Draco's entire band of misfits sparkle bright pink as they left the den; as was the name of the Slytherin's dormitory.
All of the professors assembled for a small meeting before the grand feast, the majority of us attempting to ignore the tricky old bastard that ran the school. Snape's countenance had changed with me and Harry somewhat as he simply looked hurt and wounded when he deigned to glance in our direction. McGonagall was imperiously impervious to most external scrutiny as her powerful gaze simply scanned the students, making brief eye contact when I, or another of our co-workers, spoke.
Flitwick simply ignored the old coot's presence, preferring to speak to his favourite students and enjoy the merriment of his students. Sinistra glared at the area around Dumbledore, ensuring that her heated stares could be written off as her being deep in thought. Vector and Babbling openly scowled at the Headmaster as their magic swirled around her. Honestly I was rather surprised by how all of them reacted to the man after the reveal...
The remainder of the professors were scattered around in the attempt to organise the students and also to ensure that the ghosts didn't cause much of a fuss.
It wasn't long before all of the students were assembled and the professors, myself included, sat at the same table as Dumbledore. Silence descended as the old coot rose to his feet, his sparkling eyes annoyingly bright at the myriad faces staring up at him.
From there I tuned out somewhat, my mind wandering to my own matters... I clapped when the rest clapped and responded when required. This continued until Vector placed a hand on my shoulder, snapping me from my thoughts.
"And thus, I am happy to announce that the next year of Hogwarts shall host Professor Freya for the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts. Freya, if you have any words...?" He turned to me with his characteristic twinkle and grandfatherly smile, the mere attempt at using such political nonsense sending a sharp shiver of revulsion in its wake.
Still, I stood. Couldn't be seen wincing or disregarding the head master's words. No, I shan't do that until he was embroiled in the media's scorn, the public's outrage and the lawful investigation into his actions, both present and past.
Stepping up to the podium from which Dumbledore was now a few paces back from, I looked out over everyone and smiled kindly. "I am glad to have the opportunity to serve as your DADA teacher in the next year, to guide you all towards becoming better wizards and witches... To ensure that all of you are prepared for real life, as well, the challenges of both the mundane and arcane. I wish you all a good School Break and hope to see you all within my classes next year." Wrapping up my speech I stepped away, shooting a small nod towards the 'greatest wizard' of this generation, slowly taking my seat as McGonagall sent me a sympathetic glance.
From there the old coot finished up his speech, announced that Gryffindor won the House Cup and the Quidditch Cup before summoning the food. McGonagall was ecstatic at winning both awards, her smile obviously radiant as she ate her food and sent winks towards her lions.
From observation I could tell that Harry was happy as well. His life promised to be far better considering Sirius was free now... Beyond that, his intellect had truly started to shine brightly, his girlfriend... COUGH ... I mean best friend, Hermione, was currently having a deep conversation with him that left her shocked. Many at the same segment of the table were feeling the same as he shrugged and plunged a fork into a roast turkey nearby. A giggle escaped my lips as I watched the girl next to him slap Ron upside the head as he no doubt made an inconsiderate comment.
It felt good righting some of the wrongs within the young man's life. I wasn't done though, since I had an idea for both him and his Godfather... One that would let me digest my recently gained points, make more games, offer a break to the two of them and ultimately introduce my games to the wizarding world.
Eventually the festivities ended and every student rushed off to their rooms. Most had packed before they came to the feast, now they would take off towards their homes. Saying my goodbyes to the other staff, I walked off out of the Great Hall, the tracking spell of Godric Gryffindor sparking forth, directing me to Harry and Hermione.
...
Sitting Down With them Both..
"Okay you two... I promised that I'd discuss things after the school year is officially over. My promises are always kept and with that in mind I will be apparating us to platform 9 and 3/4's okay?"
Hermione sat opposite to me, Harry sitting beside her. Both of them had their trunks beside them on the former's bed, a conjured chair currently operating as my seat. The two of them nodded along before Hermione asked a simple question...
"Apparating?" Internally I scoffed in surprise whilst Harry smiled cheekily.
"Teleportation Hermione... Wizarding transport." Her eyes bugged at her best friend whilst I tried my best to laugh, which is to say that I chuckled deeply into my right hand as Hermione blushed profusely, her lack of knowledge on the topic frustrating her to no end.
"Okay," I stood up and held my hands out, palms up, "grab onto my hands and we shall go to the platform... From there we'll meet with Sirius and then go to your mother and father Hermione." The two picked up their trunks and then grabbed my hand.
Rainbow light sparkled around us before we were all softly yoinked upwards and then spatially displaced onto a large open platform. It was entirely empty except for a few aurors who simply stared at our arrival with vigilance. Action wasn't taken towards us as we all calmly landed, the two children's eyes widening as they noted the afternoon light spilling through the station's wards.
"W-wizard!" Harry exclaimed aloud as Hermione still processed the distance that we had just travelled and how easily we landed.
Chuckling I licked my lips. "Expecto Patronum". I summoned my Spiritual guardian, a rather powerful looking Phoenix that exploded into white light before me and bowed towards us.
"Take this message to Sirius Black: Harry, Hermione and Freya are on platform 9 and 3/4. Please join us as soon as possible. Additionally, if you could please bring Artoria and Yuna with you, it would be much appreciated."
The Phoenix took off in a swirl of spiritual magic, whisking away into the overcast skies of Britain. I knew it would eventually find its way over to Andromeda Tonk's house, where Sirius was staying for the time being. 12 Grimmauld Place was being renovated by Kreature and Dobby currently, leading to the odd living circumstances; though they weren't actually that weird.
As we waited I was asked hundreds of questions in rapid succession, their speed as such that most of them would have flown over most people's heads by now. Luckily for the girl I could remember each one and give her detailed explanation of the Petronus spell. Harry was super interested in this as well, his wand flicking outwards as he mimicked my hand movements. A silvery sheen slowly wafted out of the tip of his wand but it soon faded as a frown took over his features.
"That was a good effort. You need to find a purer memory though, one that embodies all of the happiness in your life... One that you could easily slip into and recall to the minute details." Hermione tried next and reached a small sliver cloud that tried to form itself but ultimately failed.
They both attempted the spell for several minutes until a distinct popping noise echoed before us and the newly bedazzled Lord Black stepped up to Harry and hugged him. Sirius still carried the gaunt expression of a man beset by nightmares and the hollow features of someone malnourished for a long time, but his eyes burned brighter than when I had first seen him, the twinkle of Dumbledore totally outshined by the breadth of spirit residing within this man's soul.
"Ahrgh!" Sirius grunted as he swung Harry around before placing him back down. The young boy practically glowed with excitement and familial love despite having known the man for such a short time, a rather sad reminder of his upbringing, unfortunately. "How is my godson? I see you already have a girlfriend..." He looked over at Hermione before glancing up at the sky and wiping away a non-existent tear. "James would be so proud...!"
Hermione instantly blushed and started to panic, her voice stuttering as Harry did the same but chose to stay silent, simply staring at the ground. Truthfully their reactions gave away everything... Sirius and I exchanged small, imperceptible grins before placing our hands on their shoulders.
"Now, now, calm down, I was only joking..." Sirius seemed as honest as a jester within a King's court, that is to say not at all.
I interrupted their embarrassment, instead focussing Sirius on my words instead of on the young couple. "Where are my women?" The jester of a man looked up to me, away from Harry, before shrugging.
"That one known as Yuna said she was going to bring them. She looked like she'd throttle me if I stole the chance from her, so I chose to ignore your request." He shrugged before sighing in an exaggerated manner.
A frown spread over my features until a loud pop blasted out from above me and two women crashed down on top of me. I collapsed to the floor of the station as I felt a familiar ass press into my face, a similar sensation gathered on my stomach also.
"Ow-ow-ow... That hurt..." Yuna's voice was muffled as Artoria's delectable ass pressed into my face. I could breathe in space let alone under her, but I still had the feeling that this wouldn't be a bad way to go. "Sorry, my king." Artoria rushed off of me, her form quickly shifting into a standing position next to me, her hand extended.
Rainbow light bathed me for a split second, and I found myself standing once again, my face flexing and contorting before finally relaxing. A lovely experience despite the audience that was openly gaping at my display of 'magic' and my wives seemingly ploughing into me at a speed that should have incapacitated me, if I do say so myself.
"A- I don't know what to say... Teasing would be my usual go-to, but yeah, I am stumped by this occurrence." Sirius was seriously contemplating the correct response from his side of things, in relation to the emergence of my lovely wives. 'Heh, Sirius is serious...Pfft' my mind couldn't help but have that thought whilst kissing my women, their responses rather sensual. Artoria was more subdued in public however, whilst Yuna simply snogged me with a hint of tongue sliding inside my mouth.
All of it was interrupted by a jealous cough from one Sirius Black, who was currently staring at me with all the enthusiasm of a damp sponge. A dry spell of a decade or more would probably be the source of that particular expression, I assumed.
Yuna didn't care, though. She simply turned, stuck her tongue out, and kissed me again before pulling away and looking down at the two youngsters, both mildly shocked by the gender I preferred.
"Awww, they're cute! Hey, Freya, we should have one!" I sputtered immediately, face burning at the suddenness of it all. Artoria was frowning however as she slapped Yuna over the back of the head, softly. "We don't have the facilities for it Yuna."
Yuna's cheeks inflated in indignation. "Then I'll just keep trying until you get pregnant." Sirius just stared off into the middle distance, trying to distract himself obviously. Hermione was as red as a tomato whilst Harry just found the floor really interesting today.
Facepalming, I finally managed to answer Yuna. "M-maybe in future Yuna... We only just confirmed our relationship the other day..." She shrugged nonchalantly. "Eh, to me, you're already my wife. I don't care about silly rules." Artoria scooped up Hermione and Harry into her arms before giving a swift kick to Sirius's ass; who then stumbled forwards and turned with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
'Shit, she just started a prank war...' It was the only normal thought I had as Yuna's words echoed in my head. She was way too outgoing sometimes and it seemed our confirmation of our love was enough to fully unleash her. I gulped somewhat before dragging Yuna after Artoria.
"So what are we doing?" Yuna groaned from my dragging of her.
"We're going to Hermione's parents to explain her lineage, among other things. Please, try to be on your best behaviour..." She nodded languidly, pecking me on the cheek before skipping ahead, her eyes conveying the weight she put on my words. During the explanation and serious stuff she would resist teasing but after that it would be free game...
...
At the Grangers'...
Sliding into the backyard of the Granger's home; 8 Heathgate, we all looked around. The backyard was rather sparse, with only a small patch of grass, the rest dominated by well-tended gardens filled with tulips, petunias, and sunflowers. A small greenhouse sat at the far-right edge of the property, while a lovely back patio lay in front of us, with a single glass door leading out onto it. This was the entrance into the house.
A small doghouse sat beside the stairs leading up to the deck, from which a tiny Pomeranian began barking bravely at the intruders. Hermione didn't need to take in the sight. She simply walked up to the patio, scooped up her family's dog, and knocked on the glass door.
Sirius looked a bit awkward, slicking his hair back, he'd only just been told what was going on moments before we left. Harry looked completely nervous, his 'best friend's' family was about to meet him for the first time. "Harry, you'll be fine, just don't offend them, yeah...?" Sirius offered a small pep talk while my wives and I followed Hermione.
The glass door slid open with a soft scraping sound as an ebony-haired woman met our collective gaze, her eyes nearly betraying the emotional conniption behind them as she took in the surreal sight of multiple strangers trailing behind her daughter.
"Mum!" Hermione rushed into a tight hug with the rather ordinary housewife that was her mother, all the while said woman was struggling to connect the dots within her mind. Hermione noticed the silence and quickly drew back, half turning towards us and gesturing as she began introductions. "Mum, these are my friends... My teacher and my friend's Godfather."
She named us as she spoke, all of us giving our unique flare to the greeting. Harry blushed and waved a little. Sirius bowed pompously but in a funny overexaggerated manner. Artoria inclined her head smoothly. Yuna held up two peace signs before dropping her arms at the lack of response from the woman. Finally I just intoned a simple "Hello" before allowing Hermione to lead once more.
"Professor Freya has some information about our family mum! A-and before you get really angry at me for the unexpected guests, please know that the Professor waited to talk with you and dad before saying this..." Her expressions mirrored her worries of an outburst, a tightening of the face, a near wince marring her otherwise childish appearance... A typical kid trying to prepare for an incoming storm of parental backlash.
That tempest never came however as Mrs. Granger simply nodded, her entire body pivoting before robotically moving into the depths of the house. Hermione flinched at the movement before awkwardly and hesitantly gesturing for us to go in. It was awkward as... But that was okay, given the nature of the reveal that I was close to unleashing upon them.
Moving into the house we were met with a cosy, comfortable atmosphere. Unlike the backyard where the humidity of the typical British weather stifled, in here it was warm yet cool. It was like being hugged by a blanket whilst an air conditioner tickled your entire body. The sensation was beyond delightful.
"Please come into the lounge room... Dad should be back soon."
Following her lead we entered the small lounge space. It too had that same sensation but besides that also housed a small fireplace, a smart TV that was currently playing in the background without sound and several photos. Hermione graced almost all of the paintings and the only ones she didn't were those that were taken before her birth.
Her mother stepped back in, finally speaking after breathing in deeply. "S-sorry. I was just overwhelmed... I get anxiety you see, and, well..." The condition showed in the way that she fidgeted with her eyes, said gaze darting around the room as if she were close to being swallowed by the uncertainty of it all.
I spoke up with as much warmth as I could muster. "It's fine Mrs. Granger, I was just hoping to speak about some topics with you and your husband relating to Young Ms. Granger here." The woman's eyes narrowed before once again slipping into that same state. It didn't feel like acting, but, she was certainly rather eccentric.
"Th-that's okay, I-i was just concerned that she had gotten into trouble." I nodded as the front door opened and a red-haired man stepped in, his blue eyes scanning us as he placed several shopping bags down on the ground. Eventually he noted Hermione and quickly charged over to her, hugging her lovingly before turning back to us.
"Hermione, who are these people?" Yet again she went through introductions before we all settled down on the couches and chairs within the room. I found myself sitting on a chair in front of the TV, facing away from it.
"So what is all this about?" The man's voice was rather intense despite the protective hug he bound his wife and daughter in. He was a good father as far as I could tell.
"Well, as you have heard, I am her Defense against the Dark Arts teacher. Essentially i am her self-defence teacher..." He nodded in minor understanding. "Two days ago, along with young Mr. Potter," I gestured to Harry, "I got Hermione to undergo a bloodline check with the goblins... A harmless perusal into the history of her family and whether it has any ties to any magical families." The man seemed a little put-off by the fact that I had done this without consent, but he glossed over it as his daughter was perfectly fine and safe.
"It just so happens, that your family is descended from a wizarding line..." Mr and Mrs Granger both opened their jaws, their eyes bugging out somewhat as Hermione giggled in between them.
"W-we are part of the wizarding world then???" The mother was confused, asking this question amidst her flabbergasted state.
"Yes, Squibs, technically. Essentially you are all part of a wizarding family that was all but wiped out, except for a single man... Who now resides in one of the most secure wizarding prisons in the world." Hermione paled at that last factoid whilst Sirius frowned deeply, considering who it could be no doubt.
"W-what is the name of this family? If I may ask...?"
"Grindelwald." Sirius coughed loudly into his hand whilst his magic stirred powerfully.
"W-wh-what the f-phu-fuck...!?" His voice yelled out into the room whilst Harry, Hermione and the remainder of the Granger family all looked at him in confusion. Yuna laughed powerfully, knowing that chaos was afoot. Artoria sighed and slinked back into the armchair she found herself seated upon.
"GRINDELWALD!?!?!?!" Sirius yelled yet again...
