Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Randy walked away while Eliza was eating in the garbage. Once Eliza saw Randy leaving, she jumped out of the dumpster and followed Randy. Eliza said, "Hey, wait up." Randy said, "Why are you following me, you ugly mutt?" Eliza said, "For your information, the name is 'Eliza.' And I'm not ugly. Listen, if we're going to be seen together, you have to start acting like a dog." Randy said, "I don't have time. I have business to take care of." Eliza saw a couple of dog catchers and said, "You'll have to worry about them first." Eliza ran for it, and the dog catchers tried catching Randy. Then Randy ran after Eliza, and the dog catchers chased after them. One of the dog catchers said, "You won't get away this time, Muttician."

Randy caught up with Eliza and asked, "Did he just call you 'Muttician'?" Eliza said, "Yes, I told you, they can never catch me. Watch." Eliza waited for the dog catchers to come, and Randy watched her in action when they did. Eliza knocked a box on top of one of the dog catcher's heads, and he bumped into a lamppost. Eliza then jumped in a dumpster, dug in the garbage fast, and threw it all in the other's face. Eliza then jumped on his catch pole, swung it around, and tripped him. While both were down, Eliza and Randy ran off. Randy said, "Impressive. No wonder they can never catch you." Eliza said, "It's also why they call me The Great Muttician." After getting away from the dog catchers, Eliza and Randy got as far away as possible and headed downtown.

Meanwhile, the werewolves returned to their house after saving people. Once they did, Mrs. Wolf went to check on Randy. Once she got to his room, she saw Randy wasn't there. Anna said, "Randy?" Mrs. Wolf then went to Mrs. Young, hoping she knew where Randy was. Anna said, "Mrs. Young, have you seen Randy?" Mrs. Young said, "No, Mrs. Wolf, I thought he was with you and the pack." Anna said, "Well, he wasn't." Mrs. Young said, "The sun is rising; everyone should go to sleep. I'll search for Randy. He couldn't have gone far. Plus, he'll change back to his normal self. So, even if I don't find him, he'll walk home alone." Max heard Mrs. Young and said, "If she only knew." Then, all the werewolves at the manor changed back into humans and went to bed since they had been up all night.

Once he saw the sun rising, Randy started to get worried. Then morning came, and Randy closed his eyes. Eliza wondered why he looked so concerned. When Randy opened his eyes, he saw that, for some reason, he hadn't changed back into a human. Eliza said, "Are you ok?" Randy said, "Fine. I was expecting a small change when the sun came up. You see, I'm a were...um. I'm a were..." Eliza got confused and said, "A what?" Randy said, "I'm aware you're embarrassed by me and want me to start acting more like you." Eliza said, "And I know you have no idea how to be a real dog. So, act like a dog, or you're on your own." Randy said, "No. I need you." Eliza walked away and said, "Last chance, Sled dog." Randy felt he would regret this, but he followed Eliza, who would teach him to be a dog.

Eliza first showed Randy how to sniff like a real dog. So she sniffed a lamppost, and so did Randy. Then they both got a picture of what happened recently. Randy then started to smell the fresh air and got a picture of what had happened recently in the neighborhood. Then, Randy and Eliza walked away together. Randy said, "I'll never pee in public." Eliza laughed and said, "We'll see." Eliza then took Randy to the park and showed him a stick, and Randy wondered why. Eliza then threw it and pointed in the direction it went, expecting Randy to get it. Eliza then threw another stick, and Randy tried to grab it, but he fell to the ground, and the stick bounced off him. Eliza took a breath because she felt this wouldn't be easy. Eliza waved her paw no, pointed in her mouth, and clicked her teeth. Eliza threw Randy another stick, and it got stuck in his fur. Randy then circled, looking for it, but couldn't find it.

When Eliza saw where it was, she laughed at Randy. Eliza then threw Randy another stick, and it hit him in the face, and he howled and ran off. Eliza then covered her face because she couldn't teach Randy to fetch yet. Eliza then took Randy to a butcher shop and showed Randy how to beg. Eliza first begged at the butcher, and the man gave her some food, and she ate it. Randy got confused and wondered how to do it, so Eliza helped him. Eliza grabbed Randy's face and worked on it. Once she got it right and let go, he looked adorable. Then she pointed at the butcher's door. Eliza then smiled at the butcher, hoping he would feed her again. But when the butcher saw Randy's precious face, he thought he looked so cute that he gave him a steak. Eliza gave Randy the thumbs up because he mastered begging.

Eliza returned to the park and showed Randy how to fetch again. Eliza told Randy not to take his eyes off the stick, so he didn't. Eliza said, "Now, try to get it from me." Randy tried getting the stick from Eliza but couldn't. Then she threw it, and Randy went after it. Eliza was impressed. Then, she showed him a ball and hit it across the lawn. Once she did, Randy went after it. Eliza then showed Randy how to dig and put a bone in her hole. Randy then dug a hole in the park and put the stick he had fetched in the hole. Then Eliza and Randy filled their holes and patted them shut with their tails. Eliza then took Randy to someone's lawn, turned on the sprinkler, and told him to try to get a drink from it, so he did. Randy then grabbed the sprinkler with his mouth and chased Eliza with it.

Eliza and Randy then hitched a ride in the back of a truck. Once they did, Eliza showed Randy how to have fun in a car. She felt the breeze on her face by sticking it out and then letting her tongue swing out. Randy tried doing the same, and when he did, he started to have fun. Randy said, "This is awesome." Randy and Eliza then jumped off and ran into a dog park. One dog wanted to play with Randy, and Randy got confused. Eliza couldn't believe what she saw, so she showed him what position to take, and he copied her. Randy got down and did a downward dog to tell the other dog he wanted to play. Then, the dog who wanted to play with him ran off, and Eliza waved her paw, telling Randy to go on. Randy and the other dog started playing together, and Eliza was impressed. Later, Eliza jumped into a dumpster and showed Randy the stuff you can pull out, so Randy joined her. Once night came, Eliza and Randy saw the Howlsburg fountain and fireworks near it.

After seeing the fountain and fireworks, Eliza showed Randy how to scratch his ear with his back feet. Randy tried doing so but fell and failed, so Eliza tried something more straightforward. Eliza scratched her back on the wall of a building and told Randy to do the same, so he did. Randy said, "Oh yeah, this feels good." Randy then started to scoot around on his butt with his paws dragging him. Then he got down on his back and scratched it on the ground. Randy said, "Oh yeah, this feels great." Once Randy opened his eyes and looked up, he saw his family running around and screamed when he saw them.

Once Eliza saw the werewolves, she grabbed Randy, hid him, and kept him quiet. One of the werewolves looked down at where Randy and Eliza were but didn't see them since they were hiding. Eliza peered out and saw the werewolves were gone. Eliza said, "Ok, Randy. Last lesson, werewolves are evil." Randy said, "What? What do you mean?" Eliza said, "Werewolves go around at night, pretending to help people when looking for people to eat and turn into werewolves to increase their army, so dogs can't have homes and werewolf hunters won't stand a chance. And when morning comes, they sleep in coffins." Randy said, "Isn't that a vampire? Eliza said, "Why are you defending them? Are you a werewolf hugger?" Randy said, "Well..." Eliza said, "Because if you are, you're on your own." Randy said, "Of course, I'm not a werewolf hugger. I hate those freaks." Eliza didn't believe Randy and said, "Yeah, ok." Eliza then walked off, and Randy followed her.
