Chapter 7 - Thirty-five years back

Thirty-five years back...

Montana's mansion was an average two-story building. The area around it was also small and filled with many individual houses. This time around, Millienich Montana was the head of the family. Garffin Montana was ten years old, and Victor was seven.

"Hmm... where have the kids gone Melina?"

"The kids, hmm I guess they were playing somewhere near the Weilgo's place."

"Ahh, alright, I'll be working for a while, stay at the house, mister Krylovs's family is coming over for dinner at our house."

"Okay, today I'll try my best! what does he like though?"

"Don't worry... they would love anything, although he comes from a Russian background, I'll bring some vodka on my way."

"Yeah, yeah you just wanted another reason to drink."

"Alright bye, bye Melina."

"See you too!"

Saying that Milienich closed the front door and continued on his path to his workplace.

...

A couple of boys had gathered together near a street, shouting and discussing with each other. A boy of around ten years of age with brown hair yelled.

"Hey! Let's compete to see whose magic and powers are powerful!"

A boy with round glasses and purple hair said in a depressing voice,

"You won't be able to win anyway Luchian."

Another maroon-haired kid with a tank top shirt, plumpy cheeks and a healthy body says.

"I'm the most powerful among you all."

A pink hair girl with a cheerful voice said

"Why are we even having this competition!"

There stood a boy of seven years, crossing his arms wearing shorts and shouting.

"My Brother is the strongest!"

He started shouting again,

"You'll know once he goes completely berserk on you all and demolishes those faces of yours and makes you run for your life your families will grovel... ..."

he continued to shout, and a ten-year-old came jumping from the top of a house to where they were gathered.

He smacked the seven-year-old boy's head and said

"Where are your manners, Victor!"

The boy with the tank top said

"Wow, look it's Garfin, he is looking so energetic! hello Garfin!"

"Hi, Hi, How are you guys... I hope you don't mind Victor's words, they were just random things he spews out of his mouth..."

They all played together, and soon, the time passed. It was evening, and all the kids were leaving after saying their goodbyes to each other. Victor and Garfin were also walking together towards their home, and Victor spoke.

"Big brother! how are your powers, have you mastered them completely?"

"Hahaha, what are you even talking about? How can I... I'm just three years younger and I barely have awakened them."

"But you already are the strongest person in your class and even the senior students struggle to face you in competitions, I know you would also do great in the upcoming tournament."

Garfin smiled at Victor and said

"Why are you buttering me up so much do you need any favour?"

"No, No, it's not that... It's just that I also want to be a powerful mage like you."

In the present scene, Garfin and Victor were travelling together inside a multi-purpose-vehicle, sitting in the back facing each other, both were looking outside their respective windows, and Victor spoke

"You know, Emileo... he-he never was like you or me..."

"Yeah, I know about that."

"I don't mean it like that, I meant he was never faced with situations that we had gone through."

"I remember telling you that I will never allow anyone in our family to go through those 'things.' I swore on my life day."

"Yeah, I should have paid attention, a little bit more, to him then he wouldn't have met that kind of... fate."

As Victor said in that sentence, a tear rolled down his eyes.

"I thought I told you not to cry, since that day."

"I'm not, it's... it's just that he- he was still my son at the end of the day, he didn't deserve that kind of death."

"That's right."

Thirty-five years back,

It was nighttime. Victor and Garfin were immersed in their studies, while Melina busied herself with chores in the kitchen. Suddenly, a knock echoed through the stillness of their home.

Melina emerged from the kitchen to answer the door, just as Garfin stepped out of his room. As he made his way through the dimly lit passage, a deafening bang shattered the silence, sending shockwaves through his body. Instinctively, he ran toward the source.

Reaching the hall, his breath caught as he witnessed a horrifying sight: his mother collapsing to the floor, blood gushing from a deep wound near her collarbone. Crimson stained the walls and pooled on the ground, each drop amplifying Garfin's paralyzing dread.

He stood frozen, terror gripping him, as three figures cloaked in black entered the room, their faces hidden behind sinister kitsune masks.

Victor, oblivious to the chaos, rushed out of his room and collided with Garfin. The jarring impact snapped Garfin out of his daze, thrusting him back into the grim reality before him.

The People wearing the masks stood in front of Melina, and she looked towards Garfin and Victor and said in a breaking tone,

"Hu-HUrry UP... go in- inside and lock th... door,"

she screamed in agony and pain while the three people stood there the one in the middle had a black mask with two red downward stripes from the eyes of the mask,

Garfin covered Vicotrs eyes.

"Don't watch it!"

And Melina was speaking to both of them,

"Cover ur e...eys, Garfin..."

she coughed up Blood,

"Yo...u b..oth, I...I- love-- u... both."

Garfin was crying as the tears rolled down his eyes he saw the person in front of him the middle one raised his right hand and said something.

"Flesh explosion."

Garfin and Victor both heard the voice and Garfin saw a black orb forming in the hands of the man that fell inside Melina's Body as she was talking to them, she closed her eyes and

A huge explosion occurred in their house.
