Chapter 170 - CH: 169 Pursuit

{Chapter: 169 Pursuit}

"You are a person who says one thing but means another." Ada joked beside him, her lips curving into a teasing smile. "You have to say you don't like it."

"I think so too, Jill is too arrogant." Terry said with a grin, but deep inside, an uneasy feeling gnawed at him. Seeing William and Jill embracing each other stirred something unpleasant within him. Yet, since Jill had insisted she didn't mind, he had no choice but to maintain a friendly expression and act as though it didn't bother him at all.

Jill suddenly pushed William away, her face twisting in frustration as she shouted, "No!"

"No, no, no. Time is running out. We have to leave here quickly and meet up with the commandos." Ada glanced at the smart watch strapped to her wrist, her expression sharp and focused.

"The Red Queen won't just let us walk out of here. She's going to throw everything she has at us to stop our escape." Jill said coolly, her voice laced with certainty.

"That artificial intelligence is terrifying..." Terry muttered, still shaken from his previous ordeal. For far too long, he had been a puppet under the Red Queen's control, and the mere thought of it made his skin crawl.

"No matter what, we have to move fast." Ada took the lead, striding forward with purpose.

William chuckled and followed. "Madam, let's go too," he said with a smirk.

Jill shot him a glare. "Call your wife, Terry. Hmph." She quickened her pace, refusing to acknowledge William's usual antics.

Terry leaned in toward William and whispered, "You know, anyone with half a brain can see that Jill actually likes you. But her pride is getting in the way. You just have to break it."

A wicked glint flashed in William's eyes. "Don't worry. I'll break her self-esteem and shatter it into a million pieces." He chuckled darkly. "And if she still resists… well, then, I'll just take her by force."

Meanwhile, in the Moscow simulation field, the elite commando team sent by Wesker was facing relentless attacks. If it had been regular zombies, they might have stood a chance, but these creatures were far from ordinary.

Some of the zombies were driving vehicles, their rotting hands gripping the wheels as they maneuvered through the battlefield with surprising precision. Others fired guns, their shots accurate and deadly. If not for their grotesque, decayed faces and the stench of death clinging to them, one could almost mistake this for a war between two human factions.

"Fuck! Leon, what the hell is up with these zombies?!" shouted a tall, bald man—Luther, his voice carrying over the chaos.

A man with long hair and a hardened look turned to him and barked, "You're asking me? How the fuck should I know?! Just kill them!"

A scream cut through the air. One of the commandos was caught in a gruesome fate—a monstrous zombie wielding a chainsaw was tearing into his body, shredding through flesh and bone as blood splattered in all directions.

"Go this way!" another commando yelled, signaling toward a possible escape route.

In a subway station, Alice was moving swiftly, guiding Becky and the White Queen through the underground labyrinth. Suddenly, a distant explosion sent tremors through the ground, making Alice halt in her tracks.

Her instincts flared, and she immediately scanned her surroundings, gripping her gun tightly. After a moment of hesitation, she turned to Becky and said, "You two stay here. Hide. I need to check something out, but I'll be back soon."

Becky's eyes filled with worry. "Mommy, you promised you wouldn't leave me!"

Alice crouched down and held Becky's hands. "I'll come back for you. I swear."

Becky's voice trembled. "Do you promise?"

Alice nodded. "Trust me. White Queen, watch over Becky."

The girl nodded with a serene smile. "Rest assured. I will not let anything happen to my sister."

Alice hesitated for a brief moment, but then Becky made a small hand gesture toward her. "I love you."

Alice's heart clenched, and she turned away quickly. "Becky, stay safe. Let's find a place to hide," the White Queen reassured, gently pulling Becky along.

Elsewhere, only four members of the commando team remained. One of them held a tablet with a route map displayed on the screen. "We go this way!" he shouted.

But before they could move more than a few meters, something massive lashed out from the darkness above.

A thick, grotesque hand shot down from the ceiling and coiled around the commando holding the tablet, yanking him upward in an instant.

Luther, Leon, and the remaining two soldiers turned their heads just in time to witness a horrific sight. A monstrous Licker—at least five or six times larger than normal—perched on the ceiling, its thick, slimy body pulsating with raw hunger.

"ROOOOARR!" The monstrous Licker let out a deafening howl before clamping its massive, gory jaws onto the commando, snapping his body in half with a sickening crunch.

Luther and the others didn't waste time. They opened fire immediately, bullets ripping through the air as they aimed at the oversized beast.

With another earth-shaking roar, the Licker leaped down from the ceiling, pouncing toward them like a nightmare incarnate.

Just then, the roar of an engine pierced through the chaos, and the glare of headlights illuminated the battlefield. A Rolls-Royce sped toward them at breakneck speed before skidding sideways, colliding directly into the massive Licker and sending it crashing through a nearby wall.

"ROAAAR!" The Licker howled in agony, its grotesque body crushed beneath the vehicle's force.

Luther and the others stared in stunned silence at the Rolls-Royce. Who the hell was driving that?

The car door swung open, and a familiar voice called out, "Are you waiting for an invitation, boys? Get in!"

Luther grinned. "Alice!" Without hesitation, the remaining three soldiers jumped into the vehicle.

Inside the car, Alice smirked. "I heard gunfire and figured you guys could use some backup."

Leon, seated in the back, narrowed his eyes. "Where's Ada?"

"She should be fine. William is with her," Alice responded calmly.

"William? What the fuck is he doing here?!" Luther blurted out, his face pale.

Alice shrugged with an unreadable smile. "Who knows? That guy has his own agenda."

Leon crossed his arms. "William… you mean the one even Wesker is afraid of? Damn, I'd love to see him in action."

Luther gave Leon a deadpan look. "Brother, trust me. You don't want to. That guy is a monster."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Gunfire erupted from behind them, shattering the rear windshield.

Alice glanced in the rearview mirror. A swarm of motorcyclists and drivers pursued them—but these weren't humans. They were undead, yet they handled their vehicles with terrifying precision.

The chase was on.

And just as things couldn't get any crazier, a large truck barreled into view from the distance, plowing through the horde of zombie riders like a juggernaut.

At the wheel?

"Interesting, interesting, are you ready to fly together?" A large truck came from nowhere, the driver of the truck was William, Ada, Jill, and Terry were sitting on the side.

Now a strange situation has formed, Alice is driving in the front, the middle is those awesome zombies, and the back is the large truck driven by William.

"Oh oh oh, scream together." William shouted loudly, and the large truck suddenly crushed or knocked away several zombies on motorcycles.

"It's about to hit, are the beauties ready?" William shouted wildly.

"Wait..." Terry screamed.

Boom!

The large truck suddenly hit an off-road military vehicle, and the off-road vehicle was knocked away. After throwing a perfect parabola in the air, it fell to the ground and crushed some motorcycle zombie riders who were unable to dodge into mud.

The zombies chasing Alice were no longer just chasing Alice. Some of them turned around and shot at William's truck.

Boom!

A rocket was fired at the truck. ..

The battlefield had turned into pure chaos, and William was about to take things up a notch.
