Ford ran as fast as he could, praying he wasn't too late. His heart pounded in his chest as he clutched Elena tightly in his arms. "You're going to be fine, Elena. Just hold on, okay?" he murmured repeatedly, as if saying it enough times would make it true.
As he reached the entrance of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a team of doctors and nurses stood in formation, waiting for him. Their expressions were a mix of shock and urgency, their eyes widening as they took in the sight before them. It wasn't even up to three times that he had visited the company, much less storming inside , carrying an injured woman. Despite their astonishment, they all bowed slightly out of respect.
Ford didn't care about the attention. He didn't care that their phones were probably out, snapping pictures of him or that Elena's identity would soon be revealed to the public. None of it mattered. The only thing on his mind was her survival.
