Chapter 74 - Chapter 70: Recoilless Strike

(Saturday, November 4, 2020 – 1:43 PM)

Jin's glowing blue eyes locked onto Gun's stance, taking in every subtle shift of his opponent's breathing, his footing, the angle of his fists. Gun was a monster in his own right, his body operating at peak efficiency with every movement precisely calculated. But Jin had something else.

Power surged through him as he activated Blind Spot Strike.

---

[Blind Spot Strike]

Strikes the enemy's blind spot with fast speed.

---

Gun's reverse eyes widened slightly. He sensed it, Jin's speed hadn't changed, but something about his movements felt... wrong. For a fraction of a second, Gun's brain lost track of where Jin's limbs were.

And that was all it took.

Jin's figure blurred as he stepped in. His right fist shot forward, aimed at Gun's temple. Gun instinctively raised his arm to block, but Jin had already shifted mid-motion, slamming his knee into Gun's ribs instead.

BAM!

Gun staggered with his body reacting before his mind could process the hit. His instincts screamed at him to counter, and he twisted into a sharp elbow strike aimed at Jin's jaw. But before it could land, Jin's left hand casually redirected the attack, pushing Gun's elbow just an inch off course, enough to miss entirely.

Then came the kick.

Jin's body spun like a coil unwinding, his foot slicing through the air at an unnatural angle. His mana pulsed faintly as the attack struck Gun's chin cleanly, making his head snap back violently.

Gun's feet lifted off the ground with his body momentarily airborne before slamming back down. He caught himself before fully falling, one hand pressed against the ground as he coughed out a thin trail of blood.

Jin didn't let up.

Using Blind Spot Strike again, he maneuvered into Gun's space, forcing his arms away from his face. The moment Gun's guard opened, Jin's knee shot up, burying itself into Gun's sternum.

Gun gagged, his body hunching over from the force. His reverse eyes snapped to Jin's movements, predicting the next attack, only for his mind to blank the last second.

Another Blind Spot Strike-enhanced kick slammed into his cheek.

Gun's body skidded backward, in a ragged breath, but his hands remained clenched. His instincts told him something was wrong. His precision had never failed him before, yet Jin was bypassing it like it was nothing.

"This... isn't just strength." Gun muttered under his breath with his twitching fingers, trying to adjust his stance. "What is this?"

Jin cracked his neck. "I told you already." he said, rolling his shoulders. "I earned this strength."

(1:46 PM)

Gun staggered but refused to fall. His breathing was ragged, his body bruised, yet he refused to fall, he wiped the blood trickling from his lips and took a deep breath.

Jin narrowed his eyes. 'He's still growing mid-fight.'

Gun exploded forward, faster than before. His entire body moved like a rocket unleashing its full force. His elbow cut through the air like a blade, aiming for Jin's temple.

Jin raised his forearm in time to block.

BAM!

His entire body lurched back from the force. Gun followed up instantly, driving his knee into Jin's side. A dull crack echoed as ribs bent under the pressure.

Gun was adapting. His attacks carried a brutal fluidity, seamlessly transitioning between styles. Kyokushin's bone-crushing blows, Kudo's relentless grappling, and Aikido's precise redirections, it was a terrifying fusion.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Gun's punches landed clean, each one sharper, heavier. His fists blurred as he struck Jin's ribs, stomach, and jaw in rapid succession. Jin's body felt the weight of every hit, his muscles tightening to absorb the impact.

Jin and Gun stood centimeters apart with their fists flying at blinding speeds. Each impact sent ripples through their muscles, the raw force of their blows shaking the ground beneath them. Jin weaved through Gun's strikes, his body shifting seamlessly as he unleashed precise counters.

Gun's reverse eyes tracked every movement, his instincts sharpening with every passing second. He threw a sharp elbow toward Jin's jaw, but Jin twisted just enough to let it graze him before responding with a Blind Spot Strike to Gun's ribs.

Gun's breath hitched as he felt his body involuntarily twist from the blow. His brain registered the strike too late, his eyes had seen it before losing track of it again.

"Tch." Gun clicked his tongue, adjusting his footing. He dashed in, unleashing a flurry of punches, his knuckles scraping against Jin's arms as the latter blocked and countered.

Jin smirked, vanishing from Gun's direct vision again before striking his open side. "You feel it, don't you?" Jin said, his voice even, unbothered. "Your body reacts, but your mind lags behind. It's frustrating, huh?"

Gun clenched his teeth, ignoring the throbbing in his ribs. "Shut up."

He launched a brutal front kick, but Jin's footwork blurred, Blind Spot Strike activated again. Before Gun could register the movement, a crushing hook smashed into his face, sending him stumbling back.

But Gun durability was crazy as he immediately dashed towards Jin and a vicious spinning kick slammed into Jin's shoulder, forcing him to skid back with his feet digging into the ground. Gun didn't let up. He rushed forward, launching a final blow aimed straight for Jin's face.

But then..

Jin's eyes glowed.

Not the light blue of before. But red, a faint red.

Gun's fist was inches from Jin's jaw when suddenly-

Jin's right arm twitched.

BOOM!

A single straight punch, faster than anything before, pierced through Gun's guard.

The veins in Jin's forearm bulged violently with his knuckles sinking into Gun's abdomen like a cannonball tearing through steel.

Gun's entire body buckled. His breath vanished as his pupils shrank.

He didn't fly back immediately.

For a fraction of a second, he just froze.

Then...

CRACK!

Gun's body exploded backward.

The moment Jin's fist left his gut, the sheer concussive force sent Gun rocketing through the air and then his back smashed against the prison wall, leaving deep fissures along the concrete.

Dust clouded the yard and silence consumed the air.

Jin lowered his arm, the red glow fading as he exhaled slowly. His hand ached from the force, but his expression was calm.

Gun lay motionless with his reverse eyes fading and turning into the classic normal ones. He had finally been knocked out.

Jin rolled his shoulder, looking down at his fist as a faint red shimmer flickered one last time before vanishing.

'It's less painful now, i guess I've actually got much stronger.'
