I took my bath and then found clothes on the bed. I was given the same room I slept in when I came to visit the other day. I changed into the nightwear. Soon after, a knock could be heard. "Come in."
Emily walked in. She offered me a smile, then said, "Dinner is ready."
I nodded. "Thanks, I'll be down in a few minutes."
She nodded and excused herself. I heaved a sigh. The events that happened today still haunt me. How can Nicholas go psycho? Why? What is wrong with him?
I shook the thought and headed down the stairs to eat. I don't want to stress Emily too much. I know she would come upstairs to check on me if I don't come downstairs.
On my way, I heard her having a conversation with Caleb. It sounded serious, so I took my time to listen to what they were saying.
"Now that she is here, I don't want you near her. You've caused her too much pain already. Now Nicholas added his too. I want my friend to myself," Emily warned him.
