Nicholas was restless. If there was another name for that, then he was all of that. He hadn't been himself since he saw Amber, and it was killing him.
This morning, he received a call from one of his investors, notifying him that they weren't interested in doing business with him. The investor went on to tell him that they had received a better offer from their new client. Nicholas had to investigate who the client was, and it turned out to be Amber.
Now, this was why he was so worried. It looked like she was after him, and she really meant it this time. He didn't know what to do or who to call. Almost all his friends had left him. Things were beginning to fall apart, and he didn't like that at all.
All his life, he had never been the loser, but Amber was trying to make him one. He needed to find a way to sort things out. He needed to make amends with her, but she was too stubborn to even want to listen to him.
