They snapped their heads to the voice. An angry Emily stared at Amber. "What is she doing in my house?"
Ms. Maya didn't know how to say this, but she tried. "I told her to come in. She came looking for you."
Emily glared at Amber. "I don't want to see you again. Please leave. I don't know why you're here. I thought you'd forgotten us already, so leave."
"Emily, please," Amber said, but she wasn't ready to listen.
"If I were you, I would leave now. This isn't the time for this nonsense. I've had enough of the suffering. The pain you caused us all. We called, and no one picked. Just for you to come back looking unharmed."
"The least you could have done was send us a message to inform us you're fine, and we wouldn't bother you. But you made us look like fools."
