"Mmm…" she mumbled before quieting down, watching the show as she gently patted Fafnir, who was now sitting in her lap. He, too, was focused on the screen, seemingly having forgotten the rivalry he had with the Empress.
And just like that, time passed. Soon, two days had gone by, making it nearly two weeks since I had arrived here. Finally, tomorrow would be the day everyone would leave.
During this time, the Empress stayed with us for the most part—constantly bickering and waging her own little wars with Luna. The two clashed at least six times a day, their verbal battles as fierce as their playful fights. Sometimes the Empress won, sometimes Luna, each using their sharp wit to outmaneuver the other.
Their antics filled the house with laughter, making these days not just peaceful, but truly enjoyable.
I sighed, remembering it all before drifting off to sleep—a peaceful rest.
Who knows when I'll get to sleep this peacefully again…
