After Isadora had finally stopped crying, they sat on the bed, hands locked and Isadora occasionally sobbing.
Vanya sighed, knowing it would take some time. She couldn't begin to imagine how torturous it must've been for her, eating herself up about her death and not being present.
Vanya released her grip and signed. "Dain was a little bit right though…"
Isadora's heartbeat spiked. The mention of it did not decrease her worry. She should have still been there, she owed her that much.
"I almost died. The battle was intense." Her hands were shaky as she conveyed.
The memories of her battle still clung to her and it had been nightmares ever since.
Nightmares of drowning as a beast ate her alive bit by bit. It kept her awake at night, eyes of deep pools of liquid azure, reflecting the ever-changing hues of the ocean depths.
Who knew such a sigil beast would instill such fear? They were worthy of their title.
Isadora gulped. "Did you really fight the demon of the ocean?"
