Isadora eyed the stairs that led to his residence. Her mind screamed at her that this was a very bad idea.
She knew what happened the last time she came to find him. It still made her heart ache.
And yet here she was again.
'Stupid, stupid, Isa,' she thought, shaking her head. No amount of words could describe her behavior at this pending hour.
She should turn back.
Yet, she pushed forward, an invisible pull dragging her to him. Her body had a mind of its own as she walked toward the last thing she could ever want.
But she didn't want to stop.
Each step she took felt more painful than the thousand steps of endurance, it didn't match the intensity of this.
But she didn't stop.
Her speeding heartbeat increased as she stopped at the stone door, slightly ajar. She gulped, pressing her hands against it, and peaked.
It's dark. Why was there no light?
She gasped softly when the stone door jolted fully open like it had a mind of its own as if inviting her inside.
