'No, it's too soon.' Logi narrowed his eyes. But Gods knew the look in Kraven's eyes forced a conclusion.
"When she held a dagger to her throat…" Kraven began. "I felt… something."
"What did you feel?"
Kraven chuckled almost mocking the next words he was about to say. "I felt fear. Is that normal?"
Logi shrugged. "It's normal to feel fear, even when you look at me like I'm the next pound of flesh to dissect." He raised his hands. "I'm not judging."
Kraven took another drink.
"Do you remember the last time you felt fear?" Logi asked curiously.
"I don't remember, maybe I did once," he said, spacing out again.
"The mate bond's making you feel things you weren't conditioned to, emotions that don't involve your astonishing insanity."
"Is there a way to strip this bond? It's useless, Isadora doesn't feel it any way she never will."
Logi stiffened at his words because he said them so easily he was caught off guard.
