"Underground Bandit's Clash"
In the parts of the city that are the furthest away from Aurum academy, a group of bandits started settling their bases there. Kaida saw two bandits that were robbing an old lady in broad daylight, she confronted them and won.
However, the old lady told her that this group called [The Crossed] has taken over that part of the city, terrorizing the residents by doing all sorts of bad things.
Kaida asked around her class, class E, and these guys were the only ones that joined her.
"So... what's the plan?" It's a cold night today, and I'm spending it on a dark alleyway waiting for a signal to attack.
"Once Cole sees them, we begin a surprise attack" the red-hair Yani was leaning against the wall "Once we defeat them we tie them up and we take them to the plaza, where all the knights are"
That's...
"And who designed this idiotic plan!?" Fran, who came here despite her constant protests, wasn't happy to spend her night here.
"M-me" Kaida shielded herself behind Yani as she looked at the ground.
"Not only do you cause disgraces wherever you go, but you also have the planning and strategizing skills of a toddler" she was absolutely mad, and kaida could only apologize in a really low voice.
"It's not that bad of a-"
"Don't try to defend her Alen! You also rolled your eyes when you were told the plan" she repeatedly poked me on my chest.
She's right, the best way to end this would be directly attacking the bandit's hideout and dealing with the boss. Most of these bandits don't even know how to use magic, at most most the biggest problem would be the difference in strength and skill.
"And how long have you all been dealing with this group?" She stopped poking my chest to angrily look at Kaida.
"F-fi-""
"Like five nights, any problem with that?" the black haired swordsman that was clearly not happy with Fran's attitude interrupted Kaida.
"That you're all an inefficient group that's biting more than they can chew" Fran's cold tone made Tirino flinch "If you take this long dealing with some brutes then you're all clearly doing things on an atrociously bad way"
"And what would you do then, huh? If both of you are so good, then tell us what are we failing on" he was looking at me, probably because Fran scared him.
"Well..." honestly, looking at how this situation is, I'm really starting to worry that Kaida won't be ready for te future "I'd much rather your group figure it by themselves"
"What!? You're not being serious, right?"
"Think about it like this. We, students from class S, can teach your group to get better while we do this"
"I'm not teaching them anything"
"I'll be the one teaching you"
"No way in hell you're teaching us!" Tirino angrily pointed at me.
"I do like that actually" Yani intervened while Kaida nodded.
"I also agree. After all, learning is way better for oneself than having everything be easyly handed on a sliver plater" Cole added, leaving the angry knight to be taking a few steps back.
"You can be teached by these guys all you want, I'm not interested" he angrily yelled before walkimg away.
"I'm really sorry about that... he just has a... strong attitude" Yani quickly tried to excuse his classmate's behaviour.
"Hmph, I already expected uncivilized behaviour from the sinner's group, but it seems that I've clearly underestimated her" Kaida only looked at the ground after hearing Fran complain.
"If you hate us this much. Then why did you come here?" We could hear Tirino's yell from the other side of the alley.
"Hmph. I'm here to make sure that that..." she points a finger to the pink haired girl that quickly hides behind her friend "Disgusting sinner doesn't taint my friend with disgraces"
"Don't worry about it..." said the redhead elongating her words "She can't even harm a bug, right Kaida?" The girl behind her started nodding her head.
"I also think that those are baseless rumours" I added, noticing Kaida's shy stare on me.
"See! That's why I'm here" she expressed in cold and possessive tone as she pointed at Kaida's red face.
"Oooh, I see how it is..." the girl with a bow started nodding "Yes, so it's like that" she said in a tone that felt like she uncovered a well kept secret.
"Anyways, Fran can you keep an eye out instead of Cole?" I asked my friend which just huffed and stood on the edge of the alley, shooing Cole out of there.
"Now, Kaida, is your strategy to simply capture low-level grunts?" I asked as their group formed a circle around me, except Tirino.
She nodded with an embarrassed red face.
"And you both told us that it's the wrong way to deal with them"
"Right. Were all these grunts any difficult? Did they use any magic? How good did they fought?" I asked in sucecion to the group.
"Th-they didn't use any magic"
"And they were really weak, right Cole?"
"Indeed"
"Then why keep attacking them and not go for their boss? It seems pretty clear to me that they're just regular thugs, a group that causes fear on everyone by attacking in groups while not having any individual strength"
"B-but, attacking them w-would be-"
"The best move, defeat the boss and the rats run away without direction"
"Finally, someone with common sense, as expected of my friend" a smile formed on the corner of Fran's face.
"But what if the're not just some regular streets thugs?"
Because they aren't, they're bandits that either escaped or were expelled by their previous groups.
"That's why you spy on them before attacking"
Kaida's eyes light up while looking at me, I can feel her listening to me, learning.
"B-but how do we spy on them?"
"Leave that to me. After making sure that we can take on them on I call out to your group and we defeat them"
"Are you sure?" Cole asked with a worried tone "It's a difficult thing to do"
"Don't worry, I know how to do it" I reassured the group.
"Anyways, I'm going to talk with Fran" I said as I turn around and begin walking there.
But I suddenly feel someone push into me.
I turn around and it's Kaida who's head and hands are rested in my back.
"Heek!" She looks at me and blushes a deep shade of red before turning away "Yaniii!" She began shaking her friend who just laughed.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, my hand just slipped, hahaha"
I turn around and I see Fran having an angry expression, with pouty lips and furrowed eyebrows.
I stood next to her.
"I'll also have that shirt to burn" she looked to the side with her eyes closed.
"But I already gave you the other one!"
"I'll buy you another one"
I sigh long and deep knowing another one of my shirts'll end up as nothing more than ashes.
"Look!" Fran pointed at two awfully suspicious guys, they're following a tall dark haired woman. They all have different tatoos crossed out with green.
"Those are part of the bandit group" Cole whispered to us.
"Leave it to me and wait here, if, in the improbable case that I'm not back before sunrise, assume the worse"
"I'm not staying with these pests until sunrise!" Fran whispered in a high tone.
"Just wait" I told her and began leaving the alley. But before I left, Fran grabbed me by the sleeve.
"And you're not failing this" she ordered me, in a somewhat worried tone.
"I won't" I smiled mostly to Fran, but also to the whole group.
I ran to the other alley without being noticed. In there, I began jumping over various objects that were there, making my way atop the building to have the best vision possible.
Thankfully, there're enough buildings that are close enough with eachother that jumping from roof to roof is easy.
I followed them go south-west for about five minutes, they beat up a homeless person, robbing him of what little money he had. They threatened a random demi-human sex worker, she gave up seeing how they were going to use weapons on her if she didn't pay up.
Watching all of this was painful, but I need to find their hideout. I'll make sure to return what they took after we're finished.
After another two minutes of walking around the streets, they finally arrived at their hideout. An abandoned, dilapidated house.
After all three of them enter that house, I get down from the house I was on.
I hear a lot of noise, and the smell of puke and beer is really strong that I can even feel it from here.
I saw a skinny man come out from the back part of the house. He started taking a piss on the grass of the house's backyard
But I see no one else outside, no one keeping an eye and guarding their base.
They truly think of themselves as invincible here.
They're lucky that they're an absolute low-tier, recently formed gang on the poorest part of the city. Because a lot of strong people could anhilate them right now.
But thankfully for this thugs, they're unimportant.
Before the guy finishes taking a piss...
[Wind Ram]
I casted the quick version of this spell behind him in a whisper, making fall to the ground unconscous.
Thankfully, the dirt and grass silenced the sound of his body hitting the ground.
I use the run down wall to jump to the second floor and look through the window.
There he is.
The first boss in [Dragon's Roar]
Yute, a bandit. Weirdly enough, there was a random nameless unit that had more strength, stats and level than him.
The bandit class is basically a class that gives up on precision for more attack. He should have an axe, the symbol of the bandit class.
But I don't see it. Maybe it's somewhere else.
The other members are... drinking alcohol, fighting between them, and they're clearly eyeing the only woman there.
I don't remember her... no character looks like that...
But that sword, she doesn't strike me as a bandit, nor a swordsman class. Could she be a warrior?
Could she be..? Knowing what I know. She probably is that nameless unit.
I already have info on them. I should go back and inform m-
I felt a kick on my back, it pushed me far enough that I began falling on the middle of the party
"Look what I found latchnig onto the wall!? A little hungry rat!"
Thanks to my unique passive, I stick the landing on the main table, crushing it and earning the look of all the present thugs.
