"You didn't need to be here, Orovas." Exhaling a hint of malice, Jaldabaoth spoke to the figure flying above.
"Heh, who wants to be in this forsaken realm? All I see here is mere worms not worth my attention. Though I have to say, I didn't expect to see you here, Dark Knight." The figure, now named Orovas, spoke.
"Tch." Jaldabaoth muttered an audible sound as he glared at Orovas.
"...."
"Ah. I see that you don't recognise me. Maybe this might jog your memory, that night, the shadow behind Honyopenokyo." Orova hinted at the silent Momon.
His hint made Momon look up at Orovas, the dark vissor of his eyes as if committing the details of Orovas to memory.
"I didn't think you would be able to kill her, but it seems now that, you have become stronger.. nonetheless still relatively weak to me. Well, I wasn't supposed to be here anyways but this Demon with a penchant for artistic flare has disrupted my plans." Orovas continued.
The silence maintained by Momon was ignored.
"What do you mean." The later comment of Orovas puzzled Jaldabaoth. "Are you not here to save me?"
"Save you? Hah! As if." Orovas scoffed at him as he explained ." Your grand display has most definitely attracted the attention of them. They will now likely look into this matter. I can't have you being in their custody just yet so I have come here to retrieve you."
'How is that not saving me/him?' Almost everyone present thought to Orovas' words.
"Then, So they have awaken from their slumber? I thought it will take some centuries more" Jaldabaoth asked.
"Me too, but I sensed him. And I am sure he did too. We can't delay now, our plans have to accelerate before they can catch our trails." Orovas spoke as he looked at the commotion ahead.
While Jaldabaoth and Momon were fighting earlier, the rest of the adventurers were joined by the royal guards personally led by the King as they quickly cleared the demons. During Orovas revealing himself, they approached the central area.
"Sir Momon? Evileye? " Lakyus asked as she looked at the strange stalemate. Beside her was Gazef Stronoff leading the king who was on his horse, behind them was an entourage of Adventurers and Royal Guards.
"Everyone! Don't act yet." Evileye quickly spoke as she looked at the Lakyus and Gazef who understanding her intentions halted the rest from doing something unnecessary.
"It seems we have an audience now. Hey, Jaldabaoth did you introduce us yet?"
Orovas smirked as he glanced at the humans.
"No, I didn't see the need to do that." Jaldabaoth spoke as he also looked at them, particularly Momon.
"Then, I shall do it. Now that the Dynasty has also re-emerged, there is no need to hide any longer." Orovas spoke as he flew little closer to the humans but maintained a strategic distance.
"Greetings feeble fleshy beings. My name is Orovas, and the one behind me is the orchestrator of this Grand Event, Jaldabaoth. We are a part of the Triplets called the Blood-Eclipse Order. Though our third member has died." Orovas started.
His words drawing the attention of everyone, especially his certain description about the humans.
"Our plan was to retrieve a lost Artifact on this ground Millennia ago with discrete actions, but certain situations has led to this." He trailed off as he glanced at Jaldabaoth behind him.
"Anyways, I see that you have valiantly fought off the demons and arrived here. So let me reward you for your efforts." Orovas spoke. His mocking smile unchanged.
Suddenly, the prismatic spear silently floating behind him glowed in a rainbow of lights, it started floating upwards as the light intensified.
Moments later, a large pillar of light streaked towards the sky, originating from the spear, dispersing the dark clouds. Soon, another pillar of light descended on the Noble district.
A large explosion of light travelled out of the pillar in a huge radius of 100 meters encompassing the whole half of the district in brilliant light. A few seconds later the light dissipated, leaving behind a large crater of a few 10 - 20 metres depth, the whole vicinity cleared of any structure or vegetation.
The ground became a layer of sand, signifying the disintegration of all that was previously there. The moon light passing through the hole created by the pillar of light on the clouds gave the area a serene and erry atmosphere.
"W-wha..." "Monster."
Gasps, disbelief and despair erupted throughout. The eyes on the people as if about to fall out of the sockets bulged open.
Due to the geographical location, the capital was built on a large mound, so every one could see the Castle and the Noble district above.
"Impossible.." Gazef muttered as he too looked at the destruction.
'Not even the Court Wizard of The Empire, No, even the eight evil Gods had such destructive power. Just what kind of Monster has Re-estize attracted.' Gazef thought as he looked at the culprit.
Orovas, the culprit, grinned, enjoying the fear and dispair reflected on the humans.
"Now then, we shall be off. I hope you enjoyed my gift." Orovas flew back towards Jaldabaoth, but suddenly stopped as he addressed Momon, "Oh, and also, remember not to get too close to anyone Dark Knight. Wouldn't want to lose something dear once again do you?"
With that final comment, Orovas along with Jaldabaoth and the maids were surrounded by a purple sphere. The sphere soon dispersed to reveal an empty spot to where they just stood.
During this while ordeal, Momon didn't speak a word.
Evileye glanced at Momon as she sensed that the Valiant Dark Hero suddenly felt as if he was out of place here. As if his earlier loneliness she felt that time was doubled.
Suddenly Momon walked away from them, Nabe following him.
"Sir Momon..." Evileye tried to call him but he didn't stop.
"Don't, Evileye. Let's give him some time." Lakyus approached her from behind as she stopped her.
"Yes.. leader." Still looking at the retreating duo she replied, worried.
"Everyone, let's return." Gazef spoke as he took looked at the Dark Hero, a hint of sympathy shone on his eyes. From the brief interaction he heard, he could guess Momon's sudden action.
Soon, with Gazef's orders the Royal Guards returned to the castle with the King.
While the remaining adventurers once again gathered at the Guild, at some point Momon too joined them.
"Reward? Huff if that is what he calls a reward then I am the Emperor." One of the Adventurers scoffed as he commented towards Orovas' earlier words.
He would certainly not admit that he was also among the people who almost wet themselves.
Without the overbearing aura and suffocating presence of Orovas, they began to become lively. But this didn't mean they forgot his actions. No, they still vividly remembered the while column of light and the aftermath of that. No one could claim to have the ability to defend against that, even if they were drunk.
"Enough. " The lively atmosphere was disrupted by a command from Renner as she looked at Evileye.
"Evileye, you have been with Sir Momon during the whole time, please tell us what happened before we came." Renner asked.
Immediately Evileye recounted everything that transpired, the more she continued the more serious the expression of the ones gathered became.
--------
"A dark group and an elusive kingdom that has supposedly been hibernating for millennia re-emerging now. Time seems to be changing, drastically even." Ramposa the king, sighed as he heard his daughter's report.
Him, as well as his Son and Daughter and the Captain gathered for a private meeting of their own. Renner had returned from the meeting. The meeting resulted in nothing but a notice to be circulated to be weary of any Demon or a Flying Aristocratic being with a Crystal spear with him.
He himself had attended a meeting among the nobles present in the capital answering their outburst to them experiencing the ground shaking with intense light filing their windows while they slept, well,...those who were alive...
"From your words sister, it seems the two monsters are not friendly towards each other." Zanac, the second prince of Re-estize asked his sister, Renner.
"Indeed, but there seems to be a silent agreement between them to not cross a line..if you were hoping for them to suddenly have an infighting then forget it brother, I doubte it be so." Renner spoke, her smile directed at him.
"Just trying to be optimistic sister." Zanac sighed as he didn't comment to how Renner easily saw through his idea.
"It was fortunate that the most of the nobles were in their domains and only some minor nobles and a High Noble persished. Additionally, almost 5,000 servants, with guards and merchants included were among the mortality." Gazef spoke solemnly.
His words hung in the air as they digested the report.. almost 5000...a single spell.
But the silence didn't last for long as Ramposa still needed to control the situation as the king.
"Indeed...Renner, Zanac, I give this task to you two. You are to assimilate all their resources and assets to our faction." Ramposa ordered.
"Yes Father." The duo answered as they bowed towards the king.
"It seems a new age will soon arrive...we must make sure we are among the one to stand through it." Ramposa spoke as he glanced through the large window at the desert like crater in the distance.
