The news soon rapidly spread throughout out the kingdom as well as to the foreign nations in no time. For the nobles, this gave them an opportunity to annexe the lost power of the ones who were unlucky enough to die in the capital.
The nobles were like a cluster of sharks, always ready to tear outsiders and their own equally apart for personal gain. This situation would not be any different.
Meanwhile nations like the Empire and the Theocracy considered this in two very different ways. The Emperor for one, dismissed the news with claims that the court mage could manage the Order if they happened to target them.
While the Theocracy took this situation more seriously, a meeting was being held the same night between the Six Cardinals.
"What do you think of this?" The Cardinal of Earth, Raymond asked. He was a former Black Scripture member and the overall commander of the six scriptures.
The six scriptures corresponded to the six religious sects established by the Six Great Gods of the Theocracy. Each sect was resided by the Cardinals, all of whom was headed by the Pontifex Maximus.
The Cardinals were present inside a dark room, where they sat on a lit round table, illuminating their figures in a holy light.
"According to the reports, it seems that this Blood-Eclipse Order is related to the Vampire the black scriptures encountered."
Dominic, the cardinal of wind and the authority of the sunlit scriptures analysed.
"Yes, back then, Kaire was injured by that Vampire and soon upon arriving here she died... other than her, we have no-one who can effectively use Downfall of Castle and Country." Maximillian spoke in regret. He was the Cardinal of Darkness and also the authority of the Black Scriptures, the strongest military unit in The Theocracy.
"But it seems at least the vampire is dead. Killed by the Adamantite adventurer, Dark Hero Momon." Raymond commented.
"From my knowledge, he seems to have had a connection to the Vampire. Should we aim to pull him on our side? " A plum woman with glasses spoke. She was the Cardinal of Fire, Berenice.
"No, he doesn't seem like the person who would agree to our proposal." Raymond rejected her idea.
While the reports stated that Momon was very strong, to the point they had theorised he was also a God-kin, they also gathered detailed intel of his mindset.
"Regarding Jaldabaoth, he should be a Demon of a High Order, more likely a Lord or even a Duke. As for this Orovas, we have no idea of his origins, other than he looks human." Raymond continued.
"I refuse to believe him to be human. Either he's a fiend or a monster. The way he addressed those adventurers and the way he acts gives no reason to believe he was even human." Yvon, the Cardinal of Light spoke, a frown on his face.
None of the cardinals disagreed with him, infact they all unanimously agreed that this group was a Monster in of itself that needs to be eradicated from human history.
"A vampire, a Demon and an Unknown being. All three very powerful. Each with their unique personality and trait. How did these three even join hands?" Berenice found this hard to accept.
If a group of moderately strong people was formed then it could be chalked up to accounting for each other's weakness or maybe their ideals matched. But these three were already very powerful, comparable to the GodKins, and with their different racial origins it would be impossible to join hands.
"We are not sure, but it seems the two alive members seemed to have a dislike towards eachother. We might have a chance to exploit it but it will be small." Raymond answered.
"We could. What about that attack. Can the black scriptures defend against it?" Dominic asked, glancing at Maximillian.
"No...as far as I know, no-one can withstand that type of power. Maybe Zesshi could but I am not sure...this power is even greater than the ones mentioned in the Holy Scripture." Maximillian spoke, a hint of concern laced his words.
The Holy Scripture was a collection of Books recording the actions, lives and story of the Six Great Gods. It included but not limited to their fight with the eight evil demons and their conversations, quotes and philosophy.
"Speaking of holy scriptures, that power is eerily similar to the description of the weapon mentioned by the God of Earth." Yvon asked.
"Indeed. But I remember it stated that the user will also be erased with it. So it might be similar but it isn't that same weapon, since both Orovas and the spear was seen to be intact." Maximillian answered.
Drawing a tired sigh, Raymond spoke.
"Why do they even exist. Where have they come from? All we know is that they are terrifyingly dangerous and powerful."
Silence fell on his words. None of the cardinals even tried to uplift the atmosphere, all drowned in their own thoughts as to how such a group can emerge.
The silence was broken by a shrivelled old cardinal.
"Here it mentions that Orovas allegedly mentioned of an Ancient Kingdom or Dynasty. Which based on his tone and wordings are their enemy. So, do we have any records of such a Kingdom?" Zinedine, the cardinal of water finally spoke after listening to the discussions of his fellow cardinals all this time.
"As far as I remember, no. But I will make sure to check the archives." Maximillian spoke as he was also the one incharge of recording events and managing the library, where almost all the history of the world was stored.
"This kingdom could be the key to deal with the Order. But we are yet to know their intentions. On another note, this Kingdom along with the Order seems to have a history that dates back to Millennia ago. " Raymond joined in, adding his own thoughts.
"If that is the case then only those elves or dragon lords will know if there existed a Kingdom or Order like these." Berenice added.
"The Elves won't help us with the war going on between us. As for the Dragon Lords, it is even harder to communicate with them. We can only hope to find something in our Library." Maximillian shook his head as he answered.
"That is unfortunate." Raymond sighed.
As time went on, his inner irritation grew. This entire meeting resulted into nothing but theories and heresays with no concrete proof or answer for their problems.
"These two groups are still unknown to us, so we shall treat them as such. Send a notice to the active scriptures outside the Capital, to be warry of a Crystal Spear weilding man, and a masked Demon, descriptions and sketches of them should be spread to every personnel, and tighten the security of the Nation. As for the war, we will gradually slow down our advances towards the elves' territories. " Raymond declared his decision.
Every Cardinal agreed with him. They too were wary of this two groups and still didn't have any solutions. So being vigilant and cautious was the right move.
Soon the meeting ended as each cardinal went to carry out the decision.
As every Cardinal left, only Raymond stayed behind. His hands crossed on the table, his head down, contemplating.
"Orovas... Jaldabaoth...are they from the same world as the Great Gods?" Raymond muttered, unsure of what he himself was saying.
"This is a great danger to the whole world...I need to gather more information...more Powerhouses...."
