The path out of Pallet Town was quiet, with only the sound of the wind rustling through the grass and the occasional chirping of Pidgey in the trees. Ash walked ahead, his Pikachu perched on his shoulder, while I walked beside my Eevee, who trotted confidently at my side.
Ash glanced back at me with a smirk.
"You know, Kaito, just because you got a cool Eevee doesn't mean you'll beat me. Pikachu and I are going to be the strongest team out there!"
I couldn't help but grin. "We'll see about that. Eevee and I aren't going to make it easy for you."
As we reached the outskirts of Pallet Town, Ash suddenly stopped and turned to face me.
"Let's have a battle!"
My eyes widened in surprise. "A battle? Already?"
"Why not?" Ash grinned, his eyes shining with determination. "Let's see how strong we are right now!"
I looked down at Eevee, who barked excitedly. It was clear that my partner was just as eager to battle as I was.
"Alright, Ash. You're on."
We found a small clearing just off the main road, perfect for our first battle. Ash took his spot on one side, while I stood on the other.
"Go, Pikachu!" Ash shouted as Pikachu leapt down from his shoulder, sparks of electricity crackling from its cheeks.
"Let's go, Eevee!" I called, and my partner stepped forward, ears twitching as it stared down Pikachu.
Ash clenched his fist. "Pikachu, use Thunder Shock!"
Pikachu let out a burst of electricity, the sparks zipping toward Eevee.
"Dodge it, Eevee!" I commanded.
Eevee leapt to the side with impressive agility, avoiding the attack.
"Now, use Tackle!"
Eevee sprinted toward Pikachu with incredible speed, slamming into the electric mouse and sending it tumbling backward.
Ash's eyes widened. "Whoa! Pikachu, are you okay?"
Pikachu got back to its feet, shaking off the hit. It let out a determined cry, ready for more.
"Alright, Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" Ash shouted.
Pikachu dashed forward in a blur, closing the distance in the blink of an eye.
"Eevee, counter with Quick Attack too!" I yelled.
The two Pokémon collided in midair, both pushing themselves to their limits. Sparks flew as they landed on opposite sides of the battlefield, both breathing heavily.
Ash grinned. "You're better than I thought, Kaito."
I smirked. "Same to you, Ash. But this battle isn't over yet!"
Before we could continue, a rustling sound came from the nearby bushes. We both turned, curious and alert.
Suddenly, a wild Pidgeotto burst out, flapping its wings aggressively. It looked angry and ready to fight.
Ash stepped forward. "This is my chance! Pikachu, let's catch it!"
But before Ash could command Pikachu, the Pidgeotto swooped down, aiming straight for Eevee.
"Look out!" I shouted.
Eevee barely dodged the attack, but it was clear the wild Pokémon was looking for a challenge.
"Alright, Eevee, let's show it what we've got!" I called. "Use Sand Attack!"
Eevee kicked up a cloud of dirt, blinding the Pidgeotto and forcing it to retreat to the air.
Ash watched with wide eyes. "Wow… you're really good at this."
I glanced at him with a grin. "Thanks. But this battle is far from over."
With the wild Pidgeotto circling overhead, Ash and I knew that this was just the beginning of a journey filled with excitement, danger, and endless possibilities.
To be continued…
