Racing Against Death
Every second counted.
Standing in the arena, Moro glanced at Kastro, Callista, and Menchi.
Three months.
That was the rough timeline Moro had set for himself before coming to Heavens Arena.
For now, he had to pause his Nen mastery training through his Ring of Time ability.
His immediate goal was to rapidly improve his advanced Nen techniques, physical strength, martial arts, and combat skills to enhance his overall fighting power.
Advanced Nen techniques could only be refined through time and experience.
As for combat skills and martial arts, he could accelerate their development using his Star Convergence ability, while his physical endurance would depend on Menchi's specialized food-based training regimen.
With a clear three-month plan in place, everything now depended on his execution.
Moro cast a discreet glance at Menchi, who was lost in thought.
Meeting Menchi at this crucial moment was truly a stroke of luck.
More precisely, meeting Menchi's food-based training regimen was the fortunate part.
If her specialized meals could significantly boost his physical endurance within three months, then once he overcame his "death node"…
Even if Menchi couldn't find a replacement weapon for the Crimson Avian Blade, Moro wouldn't mind giving it to her—considering it a way to build connections.
After all, over the past few days, he had realized something about Menchi—as long as the topic wasn't food, she was just a normal, energetic young woman.
But the moment it involved cuisine, her entire demeanor changed drastically.
Her obsessive perfectionism when it came to food made her almost unapproachable, giving off a cold and distant vibe.
However, this didn't bother Moro.
He was a complete outsider when it came to gourmet cooking.
It was just like antique dealers—most experts hated when amateurs tried to tell them how to do their job.
Moro felt the same way.
So, he would never interfere in Menchi's cooking, which meant they would never have conflicts over it.
Bringing his mind back to the present, Moro turned his gaze toward Callista.
Testing Callista
"Callista," Moro called out. "Want to come up and try?"
"Huh?"
Callista hesitated for only a moment before stepping onto the arena without hesitation.
Seeing Callista accept the challenge, Kastro suppressed his excitement, gave Callista a warm smile, and stepped down from the ring to make room.
Now, Moro and Callista stood face-to-face.
"Callista," Moro asked calmly, "If you had to decide on your Nen ability without considering me, what kind of ability would you pursue?"
"I haven't thought about it."
After a brief pause, Callista shook her head. "Actually, from the start, I made up my mind—whatever my master needs, I'll create. So when you ask me this, I don't really know how to evaluate my own ability needs."
Her words drew different reactions from those around them.
Moro looked thoughtful, while Menchi and Kastro caught the subtle flattery in Callista's words.
Menchi rolled her eyes slightly, taking a long look at Callista.
Meanwhile, Kastro remained calm and composed, maintaining his usual non-confrontational attitude.
But Callista didn't care what others thought.
Her entire focus was on Moro.
After a moment of consideration, Moro spoke.
"Emission borders Enhancement and Manipulation. Your personality suggests you have a strong, competitive need for control."
"Mhm," Callista nodded without hesitation.
She saw nothing wrong with openly fighting for what she wanted.
Moro continued, "That means your ability might lean slightly toward Manipulation. But ultimately, Nen abilities come from your needs and beliefs. The most important thing is to follow your instincts and develop something that truly resonates with you."
He paused, then added, "Everything I've said is just advice. Whether you agree or disagree, make sure you consider it from your own perspective."
"Understood," Callista nodded firmly.
Moro smiled.
Strategic Nen Development
Based on Callista's personality, the first thing that came to Moro's mind when he learned she was an Emitter was Chrollo's teleportation ability—the one stored inside his Bandit's Secret.
That Nen technique allowed forced positional swaps and had tremendous tactical potential.
In coordinated combat, it provided exceptional battlefield control and unpredictability.
This was exactly why Zeno Zoldyck had such a hard time dealing with Chrollo's group—because of this ability.
If someone with Callista's traits developed a similar support-based ability, it would significantly increase the chances of defeating Feitan.
However, Moro no longer needed that.
Because of Nen capacity limitations, he now hoped that Callista would develop an ability that truly aligned with her own desires.
He didn't want her to waste precious Nen capacity just to cater to him.
"Enough talk. Let's fight."
Moro gestured for Callista to begin.
Without hesitation, Callista activated her Nen, shifting into battle mode.
Watching the Nen aura surround Callista, Moro felt a strange sense of nostalgia.
A few months ago, when he first arrived at Heavens Arena, Callista was his opponent.
Back then, without Nen, he would have lost.
But now, Callista had learned Nen too.
Yet—
I have reached a higher level.
Even if I don't use Nen, I am certain I will win.
A Swift Defeat
Ten seconds later.
Without using Nen, Moro relied purely on body mechanics and deceptive movement, landing a precise knife-hand strike that knocked Callista to the ground.
The fight ended instantly.
Despite the swift defeat, Callista felt something profound—
This wasn't about Nen anymore.
Her master had transcended the ordinary limitations of aura.
"Master is evolving… growing stronger… in an entirely new way."
Callista thought to herself.
The Next Day
Moro and his two students arrived at the 200th floor registration area.
With ninety days of preparation nearly over, Moro was here to schedule his next match.
As soon as he entered the hallway, he immediately sensed a thick, oppressive aura—a mixture of hostility, aggression, and murderous intent.
The entire floor was filled with it.
Did these people all take combat drugs?
Moro raised an eyebrow.
Noticing his reaction, Kastro explained,
"The Fighting Olympics happens once every two years. Since only Floor Masters can enter, all the fighters on the 200th floor are desperate to secure wins—so they can challenge a Floor Master and qualify for the tournament."
"Oh?"
Moro raised an eyebrow in surprise.
A Fighting Olympics in Heavens Arena?
He vaguely remembered something about this.
If he recalled correctly, the prizes included some extremely rare treasures.
