Chapter 125 - The Phantom Beast Egg

The Fighting Olympics of Heavens Arena

Moro had some memory of it, but not much.

In the original story, the Fighting Olympics was mentioned only briefly.

From what he knew, it was held once every two years.

The Floor Master who won the championship not only gained residency and dominion over the top floor of Heavens Arena, but also received several rare treasures as rewards.

Moro had zero interest in ruling the top floor.

But those so-called ultra-rare treasures intrigued him.

Given the sheer financial power and enormous annual revenue of Heavens Arena, any prizes awarded to the champion had to be extraordinary.

That also meant there was a good chance those prizes would have Nen energy attached to them.

However, the most important part was…

He could fight against multiple Floor Masters in a single tournament.

Real combat was the best sharpening stone for his technique.

Pulling his thoughts together, Moro gave Kastro a small nod before heading directly to the registration desk.

He welcomed the many hostile gazes aimed at him.

Registering for Battle

"I'd like to register for a match," Moro said as he approached the registration window.

The staff member pulled out a registration form and smiled.

"Mr. Moro, this is your battle application form. Please check the options that suit your preferences."

"You know me?" Moro asked as he accepted the form, subtly observing the woman.

She was young and an ordinary human.

With a single glance, he could determine that she had no combat abilities.

Still, he picked up the pen.

The woman smiled again. "Every fighter who reaches this level is someone we remember."

"Thank you. You work hard."

Moro completed the form and returned it, silently impressed by the professionalism of the Heavens Arena staff.

After all, he had disappeared for nearly two months before even having his first fight on the 200th floor.

Yet this staff member, whom he had never met before, recognized him instantly.

Now, he wondered how much the fighters on this floor already knew about him.

Either way…

He welcomed all challengers.

With the Fighting Olympics approaching, he could use this sense of urgency to increase his battle frequency.

Ideally, he would complete ten matches in the next twenty days.

"Your registration has been confirmed. Once your match is scheduled, you will be notified immediately."

"Good."

Targeted for Battle

After submitting his registration, Moro turned and walked back toward Kastro and Callista, who were waiting nearby.

"Let's head back and train," he said.

"Understood," they replied.

The three of them entered the elevator and left.

As soon as they departed, another fighter stepped up to the registration window.

Meanwhile, from a distance, several Nen users were observing the situation.

Some were eager to make the first move, while others were cautious, waiting to see who would take the fall first.

But for the fighter who had already approached the desk, there was no turning back.

His record stood at 9 wins and 3 losses.

One more win, and he'd qualify to challenge a Floor Master.

One more loss, and his qualification would be gone.

To him, Moro was the perfect target—a young newcomer with no public fights yet.

Even the fact that Moro had a Floor Master as an ally didn't shake his resolve.

Training and Mastery

Back in their fighter's room, Kastro and Callista sat with their eyes closed, their Nen completely suppressed.

They were training in Zetsu, focusing on Nen suppression.

Meanwhile, Moro was concentrating Nen energy in his left hand, constantly shifting its intensity and shape.

He was refining his control over Ren, specifically in his left hand.

Though not left-handed, he believed this training was crucial.

In Nen combat, the entire body had to be coated in aura.

In other words…

Every part of the body could become a weapon with Nen reinforcement.

Moro's plan was to master left-handed control before moving on to his legs.

Eventually, he aimed to launch Flying Star attacks from his legs.

If he succeeded, he would attempt to fire attacks from every part of his body.

Not that he needed to.

But through this training process, his control over Ren and Flow would naturally improve.

That was his real goal.

Of course…

If he did master attacking with unexpected body parts, that would only be an added advantage.

The Cost of Growth

As evening approached, their Nen reserves ran low, and exhaustion set in.

This was the daily grind for any Nen user striving to become stronger.

Moro had followed his training regimen to completion, making him appreciate the value of his "Ring of Time" ability even more.

With training done, it was time for Menchi's specialized meal plan.

As usual, Moro covered the cost of ingredients.

In just two days, he had spent nearly 200 million Jenny.

The only consolation was that Menchi never wasted anything.

She used every edible part of an ingredient, turning them into various dishes.

At least Moro felt like his money was well spent.

The real benefit, though, was the effect of the food itself.

Yesterday, after eating, he simply felt a warm energy spreading through his body.

But today, in his exhausted state, he could physically feel his energy and Nen reserves recovering rapidly.

Even his mental fatigue seemed to fade.

"A good sign."

As he finished his meal, Moro was even more convinced of the power of Menchi's cooking.

A perfect balance—improving Nen techniques while simultaneously enhancing physical endurance through specialized food.

He suddenly felt a strong anticipation for his future self.

The only concern now was money.

At this rate, his 15 billion Jenny savings might not last long.

Still, as long as the results were worth it, he was willing to spend every last Jenny.

The Seven Tournament Prizes

After dinner, Kastro, acting on Menchi's curiosity, used his Floor Master status to obtain early information about the prizes for this year's Fighting Olympics.

"There are seven prizes in total," Kastro said.

Then, he turned his phone screen toward Menchi.

"This Phantom Beast Egg is one of them. I figured you might be interested."

On the screen, there was a basketball-sized egg with deep purple diamond-shaped markings.

As soon as Menchi saw the image, her eyes lit up with excitement.

"A Phantom Beast Egg?! This is a priceless rarity! There's a dish in my recipe collection that I've never been able to make because it requires one of these!"

"Is it… nutritious?" Moro asked.

Menchi stared intently at the screen.

"If the recipe is correct," she said, "this dish can nurture and increase aura."

"Increase aura?" Moro was surprised.

"You mean Nen?"

Menchi nodded.

Now Moro was even more shocked.

A rare ingredient that could actually enhance Nen?

This was completely new information—something never revealed in the original story.
