Chapter 59 - Interrogation And Discussion About The New Threat

Layfree switched his stare to Prila and teased, "You know this is more like a double date than an interrogation."

Prila rolled her eyes irritatedly and muttered, "Because you simply brought your girlfriend, Layfree."

"Originally only two of us to meet, Gdark," Prila argued, furrowing at her fellow teammate who giggled.

"To be fair, I brought Cangatha from Daigrun's request," Layfree mentioned, steering his nervous stare at his girlfriend.

Cangatha sighed after chewing the cookies and apologized to her teammates, "I'm sorry for coming here."

"I have to join because your old friend's problem also becomes Triumph Maker's problem," Cangatha clarified, anxiously gritting her teeth as she continued,

"And it's a way to prevent Daigrun VII from investigating Gdark's too," Cangatha added, sipping the steaming tea shortly.

Prila shrugged it off and chuckled, "I guess you have a valid point."

"Please do not be aggressive when you interrogate him, Cangatha," Prila insisted.

"Alright, Prila," Cangatha replied, biting her unnerving lip and panting when her boyfriend patted her on the left shoulder. "I try my best."

Layfree clapped his hands. "Let's just hope our interrogation ends well, especially without antagonizing Gdark."

"This is only my speculation, I feared that arrogant asshole already prepared sort of a contingency too," Layfree speculated.

The planning for the three Triumph Makers members would be encountered as the front gate door slid upward, convincing them to fixate on their welcoming sight. The awaited guest, Gdark, finally arrived he stepped into the room. Prila and Layfree warmly greeted him with gleeful smiles, convincing their old friend to imminently take the empty seat.

"Great to see you again, arrogant Gdark," Layfree warmly greeted, offering his opened palm that Gdark gladly accepted and shook his hand

"You too, Glasses Freak," Gdark taunted, sneering at his old friend, who flinched his disgruntled lip.

"Come on stop calling me that name," Layfree rebuked..

"And I'm surprised you joined this gathering, Telepathic Girl or Mina Rodax," Gdark inspected, scanning his watchful eyes at Cangatha.

Cangatha chuckled in disbelief, "I'm surprised that you knew my identity quite well."

"I gathered a lot of information about all Triumph Makers members three years ago," Gdark clarified, pointing his thumb at his chest. "Of course, I'm very much aware of your alter ego, Cangatha Olzirier."

"Then what Prila and my lovely Layfree said is true; you are a cautious and observative person despite being an arrogant prick," Cangatha remarked, humbly bowing her head.

Then, Gdark switched his observative stare at Prila and smiled, "And it seems you used Candola Ordan again."

"Like I said the last time we met, I didn't want to lure a lot of people," Prila clarified, luring her to grin at Gdark.

After receiving a warm greeting from the Triumph Maker members, Gdark leaned his tiring back on the holographic chair and steered his sight at the icy coffee inside the bright blue holographic glass projection. He pinned his sight on Layfree, who nodded, permitting him to drink his welcoming beverage.

"How are you, Gdark?" Prila asked avidly, persuading Gdark to unfurl his brazen smile and grab his glasses.

"Great as always," Gdark professed, sipping the tiny drop of the icy coffee and placing on the table.

Prila tittered cheerfully, "Good to hear that."

However, the cheery mood inside the VIP room faded when Gdark painted an anticipative expression on three Triumph Makers members, boldly crossing his arms. Layfree and Cangatha slightly formed their heedful sight, while Prila darted her intrigued stare at her old friend.

"Shall we step into the interrogation?" Gdark asked assertively.

Layfree cackled, "You always be the type of guy who went straight to the main point."

"Alright then," Layfree remarked, sneaking his watchful stare at his girlfriend that signaled to fixate her inspected stare at Gdark.

"Cangatha, you may start the interrogation," Layfree announced and let out a reminder, "Remember, maintain your composure."

At first, Cangatha coughed the raspy air away from her throat and folded her hand on the table, stabilizing the frigidity within his hands. Regardless, she raised her observative stare toward Gdark, who locked his sharpened glare, gaining the firmness to declare the start of the integration.

"Let's begin the time Prila saw you encounter The Infamous Pendoswing and The Succubus Twin," Cangatha asserted and questioned him. "Are you just having a card match or is there something more?"

"Only a simple card match for observing his true power,' Gdark proclaimed, alerting a half-suspicion eyebrow on Cangatha and guessing. "But it seems your face still wanted to dig for more information."

"I don't need telepathic to know that you hiding something," Cangatha countered, boldly sneering.

"I couldn't give more information about his next plan because he made a deal with me," Gdark answered calmly. "Sadly, I lost that card fight, and if I lost, I couldn't tell his plan to anyone else."

"Did he put some kind of detonation bomb to your heart?" Layfree asked, curiously tilting his head to the right.

Gdark chuckled and grinned. "Honestly, no The Annoying Cosmic Being surprisingly didn't put any contingency if I ever break his deal."

"Funny enough, I'm the one committed to the deal, so I can gain more information to take him down for good," Gdark admitted.

Gdark heaved his heedful eyebrows and continued, "Unfortunately, you and Telephathic Girl have already seen me transporting Don Golzulin to Parallel Freedom."

A hesitant sigh was exhaled from Gdark's throat and unfolded his stern eyes toward Cangatha briefly. He also rubbed his chest which began to rapidly pound, kindling the black torches to cover his heart. A huge chunk of heavy breath was puffed away as Gdark lifted his neck, biting his lip to conceal a shivering wince.

"In summary, The Nightmare of Anthonian was defeated by the infamous Pendoswing without any effort,' Gdark mentioned, tightening his rubbing hand as sweat poured on his neck.

"To be more exact, The Annoying Cosmic being only used his weakest to attack, One Finger Incineration, that is called, win the match," Gdark added, dripping a tiny chunk of blood from his lip that finally freed his wince to the Triumph Makers members.

He grunted and whimpered, "I hate to admit The One Finger Incineration could flawlessly destroy my entire pocket dimension."

Cangatha and Layfree imminently dropped their harrowed jaws and repeatedly gasped, trading their frown of horror with each other. Prila could only express her frustrated furrow, lashing her knuckle and shaking the table. She even locked her trembling gaze at Gdark, radiating glistering pinkish flashes in her enraged eyes.

"Wait, you meant the current Pendoswing is much stronger than the one I and The Triumph Makers face?" Layfree asked anxiously.

Gdark nodded dolefully, "Indeed, Glasses Freak, indeed."

"I obtained the information of your last battle with him and compared it to my recent encounter, which the result supported my argument," Gdark explained.

"Ace Duelist's armor might be strong enough to survive his weakest attack, but it still has a couple of damages too," Gdark proclaimed, groaning in annoyance. "Which means my current is still like an ant to him."

"You must be joking, right, Gdark?" Prila grumbled, boiling a vexed expression that she centered on her old friend and argued.

"I'm afraid this is the truth, Trophy Girl," Gdark murmured, shaking his head and closing his eyes sorrowfully.

"And you must notice I activated my Calamity Heart too," Gdark presumed.

Prila panted agitatedly, "Ah yes…you are also falling into his frightening aura effect or sort of that."

"Precisely. His power is so overwhelming that it could tremble your very soul. Furthermore, A cosmic being like him can get expeditiously stronger in less than a year as he possesses infinite power," Gdark mentioned, resting his hand on the table and sipping the cold coffee for a short pause.

"One of the examples is turning his weakest attack into a dwarf or even star-level destructivity," Gdark claimed, wincing in dissatisfaction. "Imagine if you all face his full power, we all going to be wipe into a dust."

"I'm aware you, Triumph Makers, persistently improving your power and strategy, unfortunately, it is still not enough to put him down for good," Gdark added, heaving his solemn eyebrows.

Therefore, Layfree and Cangatha frozenly darted their dismayed stares as their minds were flooded by trepidation, shaking their faint hands on the table. Even Prila suddenly succumbed to the hopelessness with her grimacing, dimming out the pink flashes from her eyes.

"I can see you three mighty heroes are being consumed by the fear of being unable to put down The Infamous Pendoswing," Gdark assumed, gripping his shuddering wrist after he eyed each of the Triumph Makers members.

"You should be more aware of this, Gdark!!" Layfree yelled, scowling at his old friend. "He almost destroyed the Gloricon in the last encounter. Worse The Infamous Pendoswing just held back against us."

Layfree shrieked in bitterness, "Back then, we could only stop him by luckily banishing from Earth."

"He only thought human lives or even Superheroes were like an amusement!" Layfree added and continued with exasperation. "And now….we even have a worse chance to stop this freak!!"

"We need to train more intensely after this inspection, Layfree, Cangatha," Prila tried to persuade her fellow ally who was swum further into a boiling frustration.

"I know this news is disheartening, but we cannot give up yet!" Prila encouraged the other members. "The world still counts on us and we Triumph Makers must be ready to face any kind of threat."

Gdark shone a haughty expression on his face after his hearing absorbed the encouragement from the trophy girl. He briskly stood up from his chair and marked his prideful grin toward the rest of the Triumph Makers members, elevating his secured knuckle in front of his face to convey the boldness of challenging The Infamous Pendoswing.

"No need to worry too much, mighty Triumph Makers. I, Gdark, will take care of The Annoying Cosmic Being by myself," Gdark swore.

Late afternoon sky rose freshly and shone its warmful light throughout Teldrium, which remained peaceful as no Superhero activity or chaotic raid occurred. Instead, it only showed the busy road full of floating vehicles and sidewalks filled with the crowd of citizen heading to their various destinations.

Many of the citizens visited a blocky rectangular olive building that was entrapped by the containment taking the close semblance of the shopping trolley, especially with the white silk placed on the top left. Bright maroon-red letter projections spelling, Hygrow Market popped out on the center of the building.

Beneath the assembled letters, a group of floating posters presented a well-diverse advertisement of special promos. One of the advertisement posters showcased the picture of a cherry-pink perfume with its glistering containment reassembled into a heart. Furthermore, a long-straight violet-haired model with a silk-clean white face and glittering red eyeliner proudly elevated perfume on the top of her palms and pleasantly smiled.

A sparkling white headline stating, "Elevate your beauty and elegance with the brand new product by Galastar's Shine: Alkiss Fragrance" was highlighted in the middle below the perfume. The poster also displayed a glossy, green, small circular projection in the middle right that showed the words, "30 discount until the end of this month" as the special promo for the newest product.

The newest product was sold quite well as the customers like young girls and mid-forties women headed out the exit door and carried the perfume in their small shopping bags. The only customer who displayed a disgruntled look was Prila, who recently walked out from the store, carrying the pinkish shopping bag in her left hand and safely keeping her beauty equipment.

Beside her, Gdark accompanied her and carried two glossy blue shopping bags containing the food and beverages. He stopped his steps, observing Prila who boiled his furious glare the longer she focused her stare at the perfume advertisement. She concisely glowered at the long-haired woman, provoking Gdark to walk closer and tap her on the shoulder.

"To this day, the public still believes The Public Gimmick Witch, Amalia Galastar is a good person?" Gdark asked calmly, luring Prila to switch her glare onto him.

She sighed to cool off her head and replied, "Unfortunately yes, Gdark."

"Amalia Galastar is very good at hiding her crime by using her minion or her life puppet," The Hair Magician explained. "And every time I tried to corner her, it has always been one of her puppets in disguise."

Gdark curiously centered his stare and cleared his throat, "Is she part of the people who sold a snack that made people extremely addicted?"

"Strangely, yes," The Hair Magician answered in despondent. "Amalia Galastar also once used her life puppet as a cartel to sell anti-depression drugs for the young people."

Prila impatiently groaned and muttered, "And as always, her disguised life puppet became her scapegoat again and quickly disintegrated into dust when I tried to interrogate her. Even the evidence of the cartel and the drugs vanished too!!"

"Then, well she is quite calculative too," Gdark stated, crossing his hands and raising his rigid eyebrows. "The strangest thing about her is Amalia Galastar never tries to put down your reputation."

"Either she is aware I could delete her lies or she might think something even worse to put my spirit down," The Hair Magician clarified, rubbing her shivering arm and puffing the uneasy air from her throat.

Prila pinched her chin and grumbled, "Most likely, she wanted to use my parent as an effective bait for me."

"I will be ready if she ever did that to them!" The Hair Magician muttered angrily and continued. "I might be using my alter ego for fame, but at least I didn't trick people for the sake of greed."

"What a schemeful coward," Gdark agreed, viciously grinning. "If she ever faces me, I'll make sure to give her a taste of fear and humiliation.

Prila halfly laughed and replied, "You sure will do that, Gdark. Anyway, let's move on from this

The Hair Magician sighed in relief, steering her glance from the resuming on inspecting her arch enemy. Vindictiveness in her thought was tamed down as Prila began to walk away, convincing Gdark to slowly follow her. As they began to leave the store, The Hair Magician chose to pin her interested sight at her old friend.

"Anyway, thank you for accompanying me," The Hair Magician professed her gratitude, planting a gladful smile.

Gdark sniggered, "You don't have to mention it."

"I only did it to make you needy mind satisfied…for now, trophy girl," Gdark

"Also let's go back to The Infamous Pendoswing's case," Prila switched the topic of their discussion and blurted out a worried question. "I know you didn't want to say much, how do you feel right now, Gdark?"

Gdark halted his steps and grimly raised his eyebrows toward The Hair Magician, persuading her to stop her steps too. She fixated her concerned gaze toward her old friend who staggered his holding grips on the shopping bags, dampening a sweat that flooded his neck. A surprised look clouded Prila's face when she watched Gdark free an anxious wince.

"I hate to admit this, but there is….part of me….perturbed on even facing The Annoying Cosmic Being alone," Gdark confessed shakily, closing his wince and replacing it with a stern grit.

Gdark gulped and spoke hesitantly, "Not only the overwhelming power he possessed, but his zealous determination to get stronger played the biggest factor in making my gap on surpassing him even further. "

"Showing vulnerability in front of you is an utter embarrassment!" Gdark spouted, grunting in deep frustration as he kicked the ground below.

"Besides, you are still human; it's okay for you to profess it," Prila added, cheerfully giggling at her old friend and stroking his cheek. "Even strong and prideful humans still confess the anxiousness to their loved ones."

He silently closed his lip and locked his watchful stare at the clear blue sky above, biting his lip deeply until it dripped a line of blood. Nonetheless, Gdark gushed the burdensome air away from his throat before he formed a brazen stare toward The Hair Magician, starting to shower his thoughts with pride.

"I-I hope this will be the last day of seeing me being consumed by fear," Gdark avowed firmly.

The Hair Magician sighed and snickered, "Even 10 years have passed, and you still dislike expressing your anxious thoughts."
