Ronan stood atop the island's lighthouse, the wind whipping his hair in the salty breeze. He had been left in charge of the island while Sirius and some men went to rescue Maeve, so he was stationed with a few selkie men, now soldiers, to keep watch and ensure they notify the people of any threat.
One by one they began to see large black ships coming through the foggy morning air. One by one they appeared menacingly from the fog. Sirius hadn't come back yet, so this meant that Ronan might be in charge of leading the people during this challenging time.
The ships were clearly werewolf ships, their signature flags whipped in the wind. Black with a golden wolf howling at a moon. It had a certain beauty to it, but Ronan knew that behind this attack was none other than Nerida, so he viewed the flag as dangerous instead.
