Closing his book, Richard turned his attention fully to Evans. "So what are you going to do now that this one quit?"
Evans hummed, drumming his fingers against his knee as he thought. "Probably just hire another one," he said with little hesitation. "It's the only option left."
"With what money?" Alfonso asked, scoffing loudly. "You wasted most of our budget on Dacatt."
Evans waved a dismissive hand. "The company's sales have gone up by a lot recently. We can take the money from there. The company doesn't belong to Adeline yet, after all. Not until she gets married. So she has no say on what we do with the money."
"At the same time, we can't take too much, or it'll become concerning," Alfonso pointed out, glancing at Richard who gave him a nod of agreement.
