Atlas walked out of the Adventurer's guild, putting his guild card within the temporary space ring, and looked around, seeing people walking about the streets and others buying food and items., putting his guild card within the temporary space ring, and looked around,
'I should go and look for an inn to stay in.'
Atlas thought as he headed toward a middle-aged woman selling different types of fruits and vegetables.
"Excuse me, ma'am, do you know where I can find the nearest inn?"
"Hmm, the nearest inn aye. I'll tell you if you buy one of my produce."
"Uhhh, okay...," Atlas looked at a fruit that looked like an apple but was blue and picked it up. "How much is this?"
"Oh, that'll be one silver coin, " the middle-aged lady said, holding up a finger.
Atlas placed the blue apple down and walked away. That lady was obviously trying to rip him off. An apple that cost one silver?! Yeah right!
"Hey, wait a minute! This isn't an ordinary apple, you know!" The middle-aged lady yelled to get Atlas's attention. "I'm already making a hard bargain with you."
Atlas stopped in his tracks when he heard it wasn't an ordinary apple.
"Yeah, sure you are," Atlas said, turning back around to face the lady.
"Haven't you seen a mana apple before? It increases mana capacity between 5% and 10%. These are normally priced at five silvers at least."
"Seriously?" Atlas looked at the orange-haired lady with skepticism.
"Of course!" The lady responded, lobbing the apple at Atlas, who caught it in his hands. When he focused on it, he felt and saw a faint mana aura emitting from the fruit from his void vision.
'Hmmm, it doesn't seem to be a lie. But damn, one silver?'
Atlas sighed, entering mana into the obsidian space ring to get his guild card and take out one silver coin. He put his guild card back in the ring, handed the lady the silver coin, and took a bite of the apple. A crunchy, juicy bite sounded as a taste similar to that of a blueberry entered his mouth. The moment he chewed and swallowed, he felt a small energy enter his body.
[1 point has been added to willpower stat]. The voice of Atlas's companion voiced in his head in her robotic voice.

That one bite increased my mana stat by 1 point! This lady wasn't lying after all.
"By your reaction, I can tell you received a small boost from that bite. It was worth it, wasn't it?" The orange-haired lady smiled, earning Atlas a nod as he took another bite.
"So," Atlas began, with his mouth still full. He swallowed the piece of fruit and continued, "Can you instruct me to that inn, ma'am?"
"Oh, right, the inn. Just continue straight down and make a right; there would be one on the left."
Atlas looked at the woman in shock. "You made me pay a silver coin for such simple directions?!"
The woman inserted a pinky in her ear as she looked in another direction. "You earned something for it, too, didn't you? We're even. Now run along; you're slowing down business, " the lady said as she waved her hand as if to shoo Atlas away.
Atlas shook his head. "Thanks for the apple." He walked off and followed the directions the lady gave him.
The lady watched the back of Atlas with a smirk and arms crossed.
'Can't wait to see how far you go, young man.'
The lady thought to herself before she turned her attention back to her stand, where she was trying to gather more customers to sell her fruits and vegetables.
By the time Atlas got to a 3 story building that looked like an inn, he was 3/4 done with the apple. He had made sure to leave nothing behind from the apple. The only thing that wasn't eaten was the seeds. That apple cost one silver after all.
Once Atlas took his last bite, he looked at his status and saw his mana increased to 90. That was about a 6% increase. 2 more points had been added to the Will Power stat, while 2 were added to Focus.
Nice!
Atlas thought as he walked towards the inn and opened the slidable door. Upon entering, he saw a desk with two individuals at the counter. To the right seemed like an area to eat food, and to his left were stairs that most likely led to the different rooms.
"Hello, welcome to the Red Ember Inn. How can we help you?" An orange-haired girl with shoulder-length hair and blue eyes greeted Atlas. She seemed to be not that much older than Atlas. Maybe about 17 or 18 years old.
"How much for a room?" Atlas asked as he stopped in front of the counter.
"That will be 50 bronze coins a night. If you would like breakfast and lunch included, the cost is an extra 25 bronze coins. For a total of 75 bronze coins a night. Dinner varies depending on what you order."
"Understood. How long will a silver coin get me for 75 bronze coins a night?"
"That will give you about 13 days, miss."
Atlas sighed at being called 'miss,' but he let it slide, as it seemed like it was going to be a common occurrence for a while.
"Please insert your guild card in this slot here, and we can turn your card into a key and process your payment as well."
"Sounds good," Atlas said and took his card out and placed it in the slot on the counter. His information appeared on the screen in front of Amelia. She processed the payment and allowed Atlas to take back his card.
"You may take your card now, Atlas. Your room number is 186. Since breakfast has been served, lunch will be prepared at 12:30 and last until 5:00. To unlock your room, just insert your card into the slot above the handle. It is a pleasure to have you, and may you enjoy your stay at the Red Ember Inn." Amelia said and slightly bowed at Atlas.
"Thank you, Amelia." Atlas thanked her, took his card, and headed up the stairs toward his room number. It didn't take long for him to find the room, so he inserted the guild card into the slot. A small light turned from red to green, and an unlocking sound was heard. Atlas opened the door and was greeted with a window in front of him.
As he walked in, he saw a single bed to his right. Next to the bed was a nightstand that had a wooden mug and pitcher that most likely was filled with water. To his left was a brown door. As he opened it, he was greeted with a shower and toilet.
'Thank God! This world has the concept of showers and toilets!'
Atlas thought to himself as he let out a sigh of relief. He closed the door and lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
I don't really have anything to do right now, so I might as well get some training done. Show Weekly Quest.

🔒Day 3: Circulation of Heart

Alright, Cel, let's start with Day 1
[Understood; starting guided training video for Day 1.]
Atlas got up from the bed, removing his top and pants so as not to sweat in his only attire at the moment. He sighed at the revelation of his lack of clothes.
I'm going to need to purchase clothes as well, and maybe even armor. Will I even have enough coins?
Stopping his train of thought Atlas glanced at the screen in front of him. An animated faceless person appeared. The screen was a bit grayed out as it count down from 5. Once the count down ended the screen turned into color and the animated faceless character started doing warm up exercises that tackled the full body which Atlas followed.
Next came the first exercise to commence which was push ups. Atlas got into position with his hands on the floor and arms shoulder width apart. His back and legs were straight and his butt wasn't up in the air. The screen was grayed out before the video played and the character began the exercise.
Cel kept the cadence of counting each time Atlas completed a rep,
[1...2...3...4...5...]
When the first set was completed a 30 second timer appeared. Cel took that time to give out pointers.
[Don't forget to keep constant breathing. Inhale going down and Exhale going up. Descend into the down position slowly and rise into the up position. Fast pace increases reps, not endurance. Get ready for next set.]
Cel completed her pointers once the next set was going to begin. Halfway through Atlas struggled as he followed the tips Cel gave him and it made the exercise harder to complete since he was completing it slower.
[7...keep it up...8....9...better...10...5 more...11]
Atlas shook his arms out to try and get rid of the soreness once he completed the 2nd set.
[One more set.]
Cel's mechanical voice encouraged. When the third set began Atlas didn't get past 4 reps before he dropped on the ground with his arms feeling tired and sore.
[11 more reps Atlas. Try another 3 reps.]
Atlas got up on his knees and shook his arms. He got into position and cranked out 3 reps with struggle.
[Good, shake it out and give me 3 more.]
At this point his arms felt on fire and he felt like it was hard to do another push up but he got back into position. A light sweat coated his skin as his breath was slightly heavy. However seeing the faceless character on the screen holding the up position of the push-up without the slightest sweat made him feel some kind of way.
Atlas gritted his teeth and got into position to knock out 3 more reps.
[1....2....]
Atlas slowly descended in perfect form and struggled to come up on the 3rd but he pushed himself to complete it and have it be counted.
[3. Good Atlas. Final 5 in the exercise. You can do it.]
Once again Atlas shook his arms, got into position and got the motivation to crank out the last 5. On the last reps completion his arms gave out and he fell to the floor as a 2 minute timer began before the next exercise.
Argh, pull-ups are next.
Unfortunately, Atlas's 2 minute rest was gone and he had to prepare the next exercise. He watched as Cel turned into her tiny nano pixel mist form and formed into a wall mount pull-up bar on the wall of the inn.
'You can do that?'
Atlas swung his arm forward in big circles a couple times before he hopped on the pull up bar and began the exercise. This one was the hardest for him as he couldn't complete the full 15 reps straight in the exercise. It took a while but he was able to finish it.
By the time Atlas completed his day 1 workout he was on the floor covered in sweat.
Finally done!
Atlas thought as he breathed heavily laying on the floor.
[Great job, you've completed Day 1 of "Forge of the Body." Adding 2 points to strength and 1 point to fortitude.]

Atlas felt a refreshing feeling envelope him as his strength increased by two and his fortitude by one. He felt slightly stronger and...calmer. Even though the feeling was a bit refreshing, he still felt exhausted. However, the reward of his stats increasing put a smile on his face for some reason.
[I would recommend meditating after a workout session.]
Cel suggested as she was back into the tattoo band form on each of Atlas's wrists.
Atlas struggled to get off the floor and stand up to head to the nightstand to get a drink of water. As he poured the water into the mug and took a couple of gulps, he looked at the mug with shock. The water was still cold and refreshing. As he finished the water, he sat on the floor and began meditating.
