Thalina's voice rang through the open space like an enraged beast. "You can't take everything to Velmora!!!"
But her furious shout did little to stop the absolute crime unfolding before her eyes. Males—big, muscled, smug-looking males—were hauling away her precious food like a pack of well-trained thieves.
She watched, horrified, as they stacked her hard-earned supplies into massive bags, the kind that could probably fit a whole beastman inside if they folded him just right.
Her food. Her beautiful, irreplaceable food!
Tharion, standing tall with his signature calm expression, barely spared her a glance. "I'll use magic to preserve them, so there is no need to be so tense."
Thalina blinked. Once. Twice.
Magic could do that?
That was definitely high-level stuff, only available to elite beastmen. But that wasn't the point!
"I have a cooking competition tomorrow! I need most of this!" Her voice cracked with the sheer emotional distress of watching her hoard disappear.
