If possible, Peter would, of course, prefer to search for them himself.
However, he had another very important task to accomplish.
That was to capture as many members of the Inheritor family as possible before the heirs even became aware of his existence—dividing and conquering!
If the balance of power between Spider-Man and the Inheritors were like a scale:
Then, finding strong allies for Spider-Man would be like adding weight on his side, increasing their chances of victory.
Conversely, stripping the Inheritors of their power would be like removing weight from their side, further tipping the odds in Spider-Man's favor.
The goal remained the same.
This was all about securing a safety net.
From past experience, ever since he had intervened in this timeline, "history" had become uncontrollable.
As the Extraordinary Doctor Strange of the Extraordinary Universe-2 once said, even the smallest variable—like him—could have an impact on the timeline.
And in his case, that variable wasn't just small—it was quite significant.
Significant enough to influence this multiversal Totem War between the Spider-Totems and the Leech-Totems!
Significant enough to alter the entire structure of the multiverse!
So, he had already prepared for the worst.
That is, if he failed to locate any of the four powerful Spider-Men in time, he might end up facing the Inheritor family directly!
It was a very real possibility.
The Inheritors weren't like monsters in a game that appeared at predetermined times.
They were living beings—or rather, monsters—who acted entirely according to their own will.
Of course, that didn't mean it was impossible to manipulate certain events.
In the original history, the Inheritors only decided to mobilize fully after they had located the three special Spider-Totems: "The Other," "The Bride," and "The Scion." They aimed to capture all three and bring a definitive end to the Totem War, thus preventing the prophecy that foretold the downfall of the Inheritor family at the hands of the Spider-Totems.
Therefore, Peter had quite a lot on his plate.
Finding four powerful Spider-Man allies!
Gathering additional Spider-Man comrades along the way!
Capturing any isolated Inheritors!
Protecting the three special Spider-Totems: The Other, The Bride, and The Scion!
He truly couldn't be in multiple places at once.
Peter didn't hide anything; he shared his plans with Zhang Parker and the other Spider-Men he had brought back.
At first, Zhang Parker mostly listened out of caution and self-preservation.
But after hearing Peter's full, unreserved strategy, he started to trust him a little more.
Clearly, Peter possessed far more information than Zhang Parker had initially expected.
And on top of that, Peter had only gone out once and had already managed to capture an Inheritor!
Not just any Inheritor—Morlun!
That's right, Zhang Parker knew Morlun.
Because Morlun had once invaded Earth-616 and twice hunted down Spider-Man!
Even though Zhang Parker, after merging with this body, had erased most of Peter Parker's memories, he had still seen fragments of them—remnants left behind by Peter Parker's desperate final struggle.
Just like when seeing Gabriel O'Hara in 2099—after a reminder, one can still recall some things about him and Spider-Man 2099.
Because he was familiar with him, Zhang Parker deeply understood how troublesome Morlun was.
Spider-Man had been defeated countless times in his battles with Morlun, hardly ever gaining the upper hand. In the end, with Ezekiel's help, Spider-Man managed to obtain a sample of Morlun's blood. After analysis, he finally discovered Morlun's weakness.
He injected himself with a certain dose of radiation and lured Morlun near a nuclear power plant.
Morlun absorbed Spider-Man's life energy but also inhaled the radiation into his body, significantly weakening him.
Only then was Spider-Man able to defeat him.
But now, Peter was facing Morlun head-on—and had even captured him alive!
Capturing him alive was far more difficult than killing him!
"How about we act together? If we combine our strength, we might be able to capture the remaining Inheritors," Zhang Parker suggested eagerly.
Compared to dealing with those "Spider-Companions" he found annoying, he actually preferred solving problems with violence.
That was what the Ultimate Spider-Man should be like.
Peter shot him a sidelong glance and said, "The members of the Inheritor family are extremely powerful. They have hunted Spider-Totems for a long time and are very familiar with our behavioral patterns. Engaging them recklessly is not a wise move."
"Are they really that strong?" Spider-Woman Ashley Barton expressed her doubts.
Ashley Barton came from Earth-807128, a wasteland universe ruled by supervillains.
The supervillains had united to defeat the superheroes and divided Earth into separate territories, each ruling their own domain.
The story of Old Man Logan took place in this universe.
Ashley Barton was actually the daughter of Tonya Parker, the daughter of Spider-Man from that universe, and Hawkeye—making her the granddaughter of Earth-807128's Spider-Man.
She inherited her grandfather's superpowers, but as someone who grew up in a villain-controlled world, her outfit was far less "conservative" than that of a typical Spider-Man.
She only wore a spider-themed eye mask on her face, which helped her focus her senses—since her Spider-Sense was highly developed, the mask served to block out unnecessary external information to some extent.
Peter looked at the goth-styled Spider-Woman with black lipstick and said, "A single Inheritor could easily slaughter your entire universe. Even the brainless Hulk family members wouldn't survive a single punch from him."
Ashley Barton's eyes widened sharply, and her lips parted slightly in shock, as if surprised by how much Peter knew about her world.
"This mysterious Spider-Man, may I ask—what role do you actually play in this war? Are you our leader?" asked the Indian Spider-Man.
Peter hadn't revealed his real name to them, so up until now, Zhang Parker had no real idea who he was, aside from suspecting that Peter was someone who had been "resurrected" by possessing another body.
It was clear that Zhang Parker also wanted to ask this question.
But instead of asking it himself, he deliberately let the others bring it up.
The other Spider-People, already shaken by the actions of the Inheritor family, were on high alert—and now, they were being used as pawns.
"I believe I already told you—my codename is Time-Space Spider-Man," Peter said, looking at Zhang Parker.
Zhang Parker crossed his arms and replied, "Sorry, it's not that I don't trust you, but this is a serious matter. No offense, but I've never seen a Spider-Man with time-space powers. You claim to be from the future, but technically, we're already in the future!"
Peter shook his head slightly. "The future you're talking about is the future in the context of a parallel universe. But the future I'm referring to is the future of countless worlds!"
Then, his expression grew serious, and an imposing aura radiated from him.
"Parker, I'm here to win this war and prevent unnecessary damage to the future worlds. I'm not here to play games with you. If you pull something like this again, don't blame me for not being polite!"
