"Our mate is strong. I think you should stop being overprotective of her." Ares said, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear this from my wolf. Usually, he is the one who is overprotective of Aurora, but right now, it seems like he does not care.
"You know the rogue is dangerous. He is unstable, how can we be certain that he would keep her alive?"
"You are right. But I believe what Alpha Lopez said. There is no way she could have escaped our pack without doing anything. And she might either be the lost gifted wolf or even a hybrid. But whatever it is, I know that she would be safe."
"I don't know," I mumbled as I drank the fifth glass of champagne. No matter how much I consume, I do not feel the booze or the high that alcohol gives you.

I looked down at my phone when I saw that it was Adam. I felt so bad for not answering Aurora's phone. "Hello?"
"Aurora has been trying to call you for a long time," Adam said in a monotone.
