it's a brand new day
The sun is NOT shining
It is in fact raining HEAVILY
Ben sits on his bed
His arm was bleeding.
Like a lot
He didn't feel like getting up to go to school or do anything
He just stayed in bed
Scrolling through his phone, talking to himself
"I should probably at least get up to clean myself up.. But also i don't want to"
He kept telling himself
That led him to spending a full day bleeding in his bed
Until someone knocked on the window
.. Kate?
Ben got up to open the window
".. Why are you here?"
"Didn't see you at school, believed something happened"
"But didn't you like say you wanted a break? Like 2 days ago?"
"A 2 day break is good, just let me in"
"It's open just come"
She jumped through the window and immediately went to hug Ben
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah.. I am, why?"
"You seem.. Sick"
"I'm alright don't worry"
He kept on lying.
"I'll believe you for today" Kate smiled at him
That smile could easily get him weak
All that toughness he had in him turned into softness each time she did it
What was it? Why did he feel like that?
"So!" Kate continued "do you want to watch a movie together? The cinema's playing a very cool movie tonight, I'll pay"
".. That would be nice, just let me get dressed"
Ben grabbed some clothes quickly and RAN to the bathroom
He put on a white shirt, white suit pants and a light brown knitted vest, put on some classic socks, grabbed some shoes and went back to Kate, taking his bag
"Alright we can go"
"Great! Then maybe after the movie we can stop by a restaurant? My treat don't worry! I love paying for my friends" she smiled again
He put on his shoes and along kate left through the window

As they walked through the streets, it was quiet
They held hands as they walked
It was a cute sight.
The movie turned out to not even be that cool, but it was worth it for them, they spent time together
And even got the chance to eat together once again
"So ben" Kate broke the silence at the restaurant ".. I've just, seemed to notice some stuff, are you genuinely okay"
".. Maybe I'm not really but don't worry about it"
"I worry! You're my friend!"
".. No need to remind me, I'm okay"
"suree you totally are!" She rolled her eyes and kept eating
After they were done she walked him home
"well, guess we won't even see each other for a while then" Ben said
".. Yeah, have fun during Christmas break"
"You too!"
"Ah wait a second Ben"
Kate quickly said, stopping him from entering the house
He couldn't even say a word and she just grabbed him by his waist, pulling him close and kissing him.
It was sudden, it was.. Weird, but Ben strangely felt the need to kiss back
after a few seconds, it stopped
".. Well uh, see you in 2 weeks then" Ben said looking away
"See you, pretty boy"
And with that, Kate walked away, leaving Ben to enter his house, and immediately going to his room, SCREAMING into a pillow.
