"Get up, men! We are going!" She commanded her crew, and everyone who was sitting stood up.
She was going to take the risk. She was going to go deep into the gigantic forest and find them both, Alric and Albert. She also refused to believe that her disciple, Alric, was dead. He was surely alive. No disciple of hers could die so early... even if she hadn't taught him anything.
The crew was already packed up, so it did not take long for them to start the search.
Melissa led the way, walking in the direction where she and her crew last saw the titan. The rest followed her. The dense fog grew even denser as Melissa and her crew kept walking deeper and deeper into the primordial lands and the vast forest that shrouded it.
The silence grew, and the density of the fog did too.
Kaelen approached Melissa, her face grim, like a gambler who had just lost a gamble and was now in an absurd amount of debt.
She had long, curly, black hair that fell down to her hips. Her eyes were dark as the night, her skin simmered with a bronze-like glow. As for her looks, she was neither gorgeous nor unsightly, but somewhere in between.
"Captain!" Kaelen screamed in Melissa's ear.
"What!?" Melissa screamed back in frustration.
"AAAA... nothing" kaelen thought for a moment, whether to share her thoughts with Melissa, but seeing her all flustered and irritated, she chose against it.
"Whatever!" Melissa replied out of pure fluster and irritation.
"Why is it so... lonely here? I mean... we did not see anything in hours." kaelen asked.
"Do you want there company? Because I can throw you in a horde of them, if you what to." Melissa answered with an angry expression on her face.
"...No! No! I'm good" kaelens face dropped, she answered in a hurry. She was better off not talking to this phycso woman... although that 'phycso' woman was her captain.
"Tsk, tsk, that's what I thought." Her face was truly a sight to behold. "Bitch..." she muttered the last part under her breath.
Kaelen's ear twisted, she heard it... "EXCUSE ME CAPTAIN?!" Kaelen screamed.
"What?!" Melissa screamed back.
"Nothing..." looking at Melissa's face... Kaelen did not want to piss her off more than she already was.
"Tsk, tsk." Melissa tsked out of frustration. She was already pissed off at the fact that both alric and Albert were nowhere to be found, and who knew if that boy alric was even alive or not. She blamed everything on herself, she thought that everyone that happened was her fault.
She was deep in thought, blaming herself and trying to find a solution to her mistakes. But there were none she could think of, Albert was after the bird, the bird was flying and so was Albert... so how could she possibly catch up to them.
She trusted her right hand man, so she knew for a fact that Albert was alive, and she also believed that Albert had slayed the bird and saved alric from getting digested, she was not sure on that one though. He was a healer after all... that was the assumption she had came up with.
Melissa carefully stepped over a root of a tree that grew out of the land, moss stuck to her footwear.
As she was walking in the dense fog, she stumbled upon a flower... it was bigger then her in size. She looked at it... then ignored it. But she stumbled into another one a few moments later. A while later... she and her crew were in an entire field of gigantic flowers.
'It smelled good.' She thought, the beautiful fragrance emitted by the giant flowers gently brushed against her nostrils.
The fog grew thicker in the field she and her crew were in, to the point where Melissa could only see a few metres ahead of her.
She let herself enjoy the moment, worry ate at her joy, but her guard never went down...
A terrified scream echoed through the fog, it seemed to have came from behind her... from where her crew was.
In a hurry, Melissa turned around.
The seen she saw... her brain could not comprehend it, or simply refused to do so.
But soon... she forced herself to comprehend it.
She froze, her eyes widened, her jaw dropped, her body shivered. Her hands trembled, and she let out of scream...
A scream full of pure rage, confusion and horror.
