Silence fell as the butler cleared his throat "Sit Down." He said Indra's body responded as he sat down on the floor in front of the man as the man with the shades came down the stairs "I wasn't expecting him to be that fast during our conversation." He said as the butler sighed.
"This young man is clearly afraid of talking to you so why don't you join the team down at the bar and brainstorm some ideas about tonight." He said as the man with the shades left as it was only him and the maid.
"I apologize for my subordinate, my name is Cain and I am in charge of the people here with me in this town to raid the mansion you came from." He said while walking past Indra and sitting on the brown sofa.
In front of him was a light brown wooden table that had two small plants and another sofa across from it as he gestured for him to sit down "If you can help us accomplish our goal, maybe I can do something for you." He said as Emily came and brought two white cups that had steaming brown liquid in them that sat on two small white plates "Something like what, exactly?" Indra asked as he slowly made his way to the sofa across from him.
"The Lord I serve, Lord Tempest, is a Impure born that has earned favor with the royal family and is in fact in charge of this land where demi-humans can roam freely...I can find a place for you in the manor if you can cooperate peacefully with us, I can make sure to provide a warm bed and hot meals without ever having to look over your shoulder again." He said while taking a sip from his cup as Indra pondered on what he said while slowly sitting down.
"And all I have to do is lead you back there?" Indra asked he gave a slow nod "Yes, we could storm his home irrationally with no real plan involved but if we can storm the place from the front door and the way you escaped we have a real chance at saving more people." Cain said as Indra frowned "You have no idea what he was doing to us do you?" He said as it made Cain raise a brow "Those people that you are looking to save are no longer the same, I am the only one to remain mentally intact." Indra said while looking down at his hands remembering the people he had to fight and hurt.
Noticing this, Cain nodded slowly knowing the look in his eyes all too well, nothing about battle was ever easy 'Unlike my students he has an experience that I cannot teach.' He thought inwardly while taking another sip from his cup "I am sorry for the hardship you have had to endure, even if we can't save the others we still managed to save you if that means anything." He said while putting the cup and plate down.
"I will be stepping out to meet my team to discuss the plans for tonight's raid, you are more than welcome to stay here and recuperate with Emily until the time being." He said while heading for the door and once he was gone Indra gave a sigh of relief now knowing that the people that found him and took care of him wasn't people sent by his captor to bring him back "I can tell interacting with us took a lot of trusting to do on your end," Emily said as it snapped Indra out of his thoughts "What Sir Cain has offered you and said is indeed the truth, the Lord of the land that we serve is a very powerful man and because it's Sir Cain the chances of Lord Tempest accepting is very likely." She said with a small smile on her face as Indra felt like it was all too good to be true.
"Excuse me for sounding negative, but I'm not used to good fortune, especially since I spent my whole life in a cage in someone else's home before now, what's stopping your lord from deciding that I belong on the streets where his butler found me." Indra said as she gave a small nod "When you put it like that nothing stops him, just trust in us to never lead you astray." She said while picking up his cup and plate along with Cain's "Feel free to rest until Sir Cain returns for you, if you need anything please don't hesitate to ask." She said as Indra gave a small nod before returning back up the stairs and to his room.
