Silas's POV
When Damon was running with my side face resting on him, I was looking around. Despite my weight, he ran tirelessly.
Then, I noticed the sea beside us. I quickly sat up and glanced around, realizing we were in a place filled with ships and boats, anchored at the other side of the sea.
Suddenly, Damon stopped.
"Silas, come down," he said.
I quickly jumped down from him, and he began sniffing around, moving here and there. Meanwhile, I stood there, watching him, my eyes darting everywhere to ensure there were no wolves or ghosts around.
But I wasn't some super wolf who could sense their presence. I didn't know how Damon could do it. Of course, he was an incredible person, but even if he was, he was still my brother's mate—I shouldn't forget that.
When I looked back at where Damon had been, he was gone. I glanced around and found myself standing there alone.
