Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Fighting Violence with Violence is Not Justice

"I'm not going to talk to you anymore, my cadet is here."

Sakurai Chizuru hung up the phone, tidied her clothes, cleared her throat, and said loudly, "Come in."

Fushimi Roku pushed the door open and came in, only to see Sakurai Chizuru wearing a white shirt, sitting upright beside the desk, with a blue uniform jacket draped over the back of her chair.

He greeted her formally, with both hands pressed against the sides of his pants, and stood firm in front of Instructor Sakurai.

"Mr. Fushimi, do you know why I called you over?"

Sakurai Chizuru leaned back, resting against the chair, with her legs crossed, the dignified demeanor she had just maintained vanished completely.

At this time, her colleagues were all at the cafeteria having lunch, and she was the only one in the office, so there was no need to worry about anything.

"Because I made a mistake in the practical class," Fushimi Roku wasn't foolish enough to openly confront the instructor: "I am extremely sorry, and I will definitely memorize the patrol police enforcement regulations diligently."

"That matter is already in the past; I'm not that petty."

Sakurai Chizuru tilted her head, propping her face with the back of her hand, her gaze sizing up Fushimi Roku with a playful smile: "I didn't expect someone who looks so gentle to have such a tough personality... 'Restraint with violence is my life creed,' is it? You really left a strong impression on me."

Fushimi Roku remained silent, thinking that this sounded quite ominous.

"However, I must point out that 'resolving violence with violence' is not justice on a personal level. In this world, only the law and law enforcement agencies can exercise 'just violence,'" Sakurai Chizuru said sternly: "As an instructor, I must rectify your incorrect ideological views."

"I understand," replied Fushimi Roku.

"From now on, start doing push-ups on the spot. For each one, shout 'resolving violence with violence is not justice' until I feel that you have truly repented." Sakurai Chizuru ordered.

Fushimi Roku cursed inwardly at the hypocrisy of this woman, saying, 'I'm not that petty,' then immediately finding an excuse to punish a student... Does she think kicking a student in the crotch is justice? If he had known, he would have kicked harder yesterday.

He took a deep breath, suppressed his inner irritation, and bent down to start doing push-ups.

Ah, the look in his eyes, the expression of being very angry yet having no choice but to comply, it's just wonderful... Sakurai Chizuru mused internally.

She stood up, hands clasped behind her back, looking down at Fushimi Roku, reprimanding him: "Louder, I can't hear you!"

"Resolving violence with violence is not justice!"

"No spirit!"

"Resolving violence with violence is not justice!"

"Keep going!" ordered Sakurai Chizuru sharply.

With each shout from Fushimi Roku, a flush appeared on her fair face, and her handsome features took on a hint of allure.

When Fushimi Roku reached the forty-first push-up, his form started to falter, sweat soaking through his clothes and dripping onto the floor.

"What's wrong? Lower your chest a bit more! Keep your elbows at a forty-five-degree angle to your body!" Sakurai Chizuru instructed, while slipping off her shoes and lifting one leg.

Her toes, painted in red nail polish, slightly curled and pressed down on Fushimi Roku's back.

He let out a muffled groan, just maintaining the push-up position was already exhausting him to his limits.

"Keep going! Show me your perseverance!" Sakurai Chizuru commanded.

Fushimi Roku gritted his teeth, arms bending slightly, inch by inch moving downward, veins bulging on his forehead, then pushing himself up again.

Ah, impressive, truly remarkable that he can still endure this, I'm becoming more fond of this guy... Sakurai Chizuru subconsciously licked her lips.

"Are you reaching your limit?"

She moved her right foot away, lifting it to Fushimi Roku's face, tensing her enticing arch. "Lick it, let me see your attitude of repentance."

Seeing Fushimi Roku not moving, she added, "Once you've licked it, you can leave."

Fushimi Roku turned his face away, continuing to shout 'resolving violence with violence is not justice,' squeezing out his last bit of energy, slowly doing push-ups.

Sakurai Chizuru squinted her eyes, thinking she had found a treasure, she loved men like this, rebellious and unwillingly submitting to her feet...

How she longed to see him wearing a collar, showing an expression of humiliation.

Sakurai Chizuru had her own methods of training men; some people couldn't be tamed with just a stick, they needed a touch of sweet jujube.

She chuckled softly, put on her shoes, pulled open a drawer, and said, "Enough, stand up."

Fushimi Roku gasped for air, standing up.

Sakurai Chizuru took an envelope from the drawer and said,

"Next month, there will be a recruiter from the riot squad coming for an inspection. Take this introduction letter to the recruiter. Whether you pass the review or not depends on your own abilities."

This was a great opportunity; the benefits and promotion prospects of the riot squad were much better than those of a patrol officer. Not to mention, the annual salary for a newly hired riot squad member was over four million yen, and it would increase with experience, reaching nearly ten million yen by the age of forty.

In contrast, a patrol officer's annual salary barely exceeded two million yen. With the economic bubble burst, the police department was struggling to pay salaries, using various coupons for deductions, leaving patrol officers with only sixty to seventy percent of their actual salary.

Of course, the work of the riot squad was more dangerous and exhausting than that of the patrol police. But, well, for a tough guy like Fushimi, it probably wouldn't matter...

"No need, thank you." Fushimi Roku rejected her outright.

What a joke, he became a patrol police officer for an easy life, to loaf around and pass all the work to his colleagues while he sat in the police box with his legs crossed reading comics!

—If it was for making money, he might as well take an exam to become a lawyer!

"Oh? Are you planning to fight for it on your own abilities?" Sakurai Chizuru tossed the envelope back into the drawer: "As a teacher, I'm very pleased. However, the review standards for the riot squad are extremely stringent, and you are far from meeting the qualifications."

Fushimi Roku couldn't comprehend the logic of this lunatic and could only choose silence.

"Alright then, come to my office tomorrow night, I'll give you a private special instruction, I hope you won't disappoint my expectations."

Sakurai Chizuru slightly raised her chin and met his gaze: "What's your answer?"

"Pardon me, but I refuse..."

"I'm not negotiating with you; you have no right to refuse," Sakurai Chizuru interrupted: "If you can't handle it, you can leave the school at any time."

"... Understood."

"That's it for today, you can go back." Sakurai Chizuru leaned back in her chair, exhaling contentedly.

Fushimi Roku nodded in acknowledgment, leaving the office with a heavy heart.

As soon as he stepped out, he ran into Minamoto Tamako, who was peeking around the corner at the neighboring office.

"Oh? Fushimi, weren't you having lunch in the dormitory?"

Before Fushimi Roku could respond, she puffed out her chest, put her hands on her hips, and proudly reported, "I've already found the sender of the letter!"

"Very well."

Fushimi Roku, with a gloomy expression, was already thinking about how to extract the blackmail material against Instructor Sakurai from the letter's sender.
