Rowan grabbed Camille's wrist right away. If she really knelt, his grandpa would blame him. The Nelsen family would turn against Chantelle. Camille was their grandpa's favorite. He always believed her. She'd twist the story and say Chantelle made her kneel. That would bring shame to both Camille and their family.
Rowan knew this wasn't Chantelle's fault. He didn't want his grandpa to go after her. Chantelle had reminded him of someone from his past.
"Ms. Chantelle, as you can see, Camille already regrets what she did. Can we let this go? Let's have a glass of wine and end things here," Rowan said as he poured wine into her glass.
Chantelle didn't even glance at it. "Mr. Nelsen, was all of this just an act to trick me? Do you want me to speak well of you to the Walker family? I thought the Nelsens weren't afraid of anything."
Camille got angry and wanted to argue, but Anthony stopped her right away.
