The morning began early for the students. A loud alarm blared, waking everyone up. They had one hour to themselves before they had to report for classes.
Although it was their hour, most of it was spent freshening up and breakfast. What little time that remained was spent walking to their classes.
However, the first day was special.
Instead of heading to the classes, the students once again were assembled in the auditorium. Guards were stationed outside and inside. Once again, they were greeted by the vice-headmaster.
"There was an incident in the town last night," he said. "Two people were found dead in an alleyway, with another person missing. In light of these events, the students are prohibited from venturing into the city without supervision."
He continued, "New rules will be implemented. No student is allowed outside their dorm rooms after sunset. Your food and other necessities will be provided within the rooms."
