Chapter 65 - Chapter 66: G Super Lifeform!

Chapter 66: G Super Lifeform!

The system outlined two virus routes: the Progenitor Virus of the Stairway of the Sun and the incomplete G Virus derived from it.

The G Virus was labeled incomplete because it was artificially synthesized through research and extraction from the Progenitor Virus. The Progenitor Virus contains only certain components of the G Virus, making it impossible to synthesize the G Virus from nothing.

Fortunately, with Chang Wei's nearly omnipotent system and ample gene points, the system indicated that he could complete the G Virus by paying a certain amount of gene points. This would allow him to evolve into two new super viruses: the Progenitor Virus of the Stairway of the Sun and the G Virus!

"This doesn't even require any thought or choice. G it is!"

Chang Wei immediately agreed. Under normal circumstances, he would never inject himself with the G Virus. While he understood its allure, he also knew that the G Virus was even less suitable for injection than the Blacklight Virus. The G Virus completely replaces its host; anyone injected with it effectively dies, leaving behind only a "G organism."

However, with the system, if he could tame and harness the unpredictable mutations of the G Virus, its potential would undoubtedly make it one of the most overpowered viruses!

"Complete it."

Chang Wei selected the option to complete the G Virus but was curious why there were no options for Ouroboros or Veronica since they were components of the Progenitor Virus of the Stairway of the Sun.

Five billion gene points evaporated instantly. After all, synthesizing and developing the G Virus required considerable time and effort. This was achieved thanks to the genius scientist and the vast resources of the Umbrella Corporation. If Chang Wei were to develop it independently, it would take years to go from nothing to something.

Now, the G Virus in the movie world was successfully completed.

"First, evolve the G Virus!"

Chang Wei worried that his gene points wouldn't suffice to evolve both viruses, so he prioritized the Progenitor Virus of the Stairway of the Sun for later.

[G Virus Evolution Route 1: Extreme Environmental Adaptation]

(The environment is an unimaginably harsh killing field. Life is fragile, and various climatic conditions such as temperature, humidity, weather, and sunlight can cause catastrophic harm. Choosing this evolution option allows you to adapt to any extreme environment at unimaginable speed.)

Warning: This route has a 90% chance of uncontrolled mutation. (The next evolution level increases controllability by 10%.)

This evolution requires 1 billion gene points.

[G Virus Evolution Route 2: Viral Life Signs]

(Your vitality will be greatly enhanced. Your cells will gain rapid self-replication and mutation abilities, enabling limb regeneration solely through cells. At higher evolution levels, a single cell will suffice for resurrection, granting near-immortality.)

Note: The G Virus can revive dead cells, meaning even G cells separated from the body can still regenerate!

This evolution requires 1 billion gene points.

[G Virus Evolution Route 3: Super Lifeform]

(Aside from your brain, your entire body will be restructured for combat. Every part of your body will become a weapon. When attacked, your body will evolve resistance to the damage. Indestructible defenses will translate into increased strength and evolved limbs.)

Warning: This ability has a 90% chance of conflicting with the "temporary transformation" and "disguise mimicry" features of the Imperial Blacklight Virus. (The next evolution level will reduce the chance of conflict.)

This evolution requires 1 billion gene points.

...

"Such power, it's absolutely on par with the Blacklight Virus..."

Seeing that the G Virus's mutation probability could indeed be controlled, Chang Wei was very satisfied.

So he chose to evolve. He wanted it all!

The Super Lifeform likely corresponds to the G1 to G5 mutation forms. Due to complete metamorphosis, there's no reverting to the original state, which explains its conflict with the Blacklight Virus's temporary transformation and disguise mimicry features. Fortunately, this conflict could be resolved by spending money.

Money was the least of Chang Wei's worries!

He could evolve the Super Lifeform into a "human-shaped" super lifeform or revert back after assuming a monstrous form.

"Perfect timing. My imagination is lacking. I can use the G form to impersonate demons in other worlds."

Chang Wei felt his body being torn apart by the G Virus. The virus attempted to replace all his cells, but under the system's power, it could only fuse with his cells rather than replace them.

The Imperial Blacklight Virus and the T-Virus lay dormant, not interfering. Otherwise, if these three viruses started a conflict, Chang Wei—without Lisa Trevor's toxin-immune physique—would likely face cellular collapse and death.

"It feels like I've turned into soil, with fleshy worms burrowing through me..."

The process was excruciating, and the sight of his gene points rapidly diminishing made him feel even worse.

Fortunately, the depletion stopped abruptly, indicating that the evolution was complete and that the G Virus had reached its limit.

At this moment, Chang Wei felt his strength increase tenfold. The extreme environmental adaptation ability made him think it might even solve his nuclear fusion problem. The only uncertainty was whether the G Virus could withstand environments of extreme heat and pressure.
