Chapter 67: The Birth of a God

Chang Wei began experimenting with G-virus simulations for nuclear fusion. To his astonishment, not only did the G-virus mutate, but the Blacklight virus also underwent changes. These two viruses became intertwined due to the power of the system, forming a symbiotic relationship where they complemented each other but did not merge into a single entity.

The G-virus caused the Blacklight virus to mutate, and this evolution thrilled Chang Wei. Among all the viruses he had acquired, the Blacklight virus had the greatest potential. It was said to possess limitless evolution and mutation capabilities. However, even the G-virus's so-called infinite evolution was limited to Earth's ecological environment and gene pool. Through Chang Wei's influence, the Blacklight virus had already integrated the genetic material of two extraterrestrial species: the Xenomorphs and the Predators.

Although the G-virus's potential was average, acquiring these two alien genes, with structures completely different from Earth's, triggered violent mutations and evolution within it. Due to the system's power, the Blacklight virus did not devour or reject the G-virus but was instead influenced by it.

In simple terms, the Blacklight virus now replicated the characteristics of the G-virus and further evolved itself.

The system now displayed the following:

"Imperial Blacklight Virus" → "Blacklight Virus G-type."

The newly mutated G-type Blacklight virus exhibited properties far beyond its previous state, enabling Chang Wei to complete nuclear fusion effortlessly.

"…A god is born at this moment."

Standing amidst a sea of molten lava, Chang Wei's entire body radiated the temperature of the sun. The cells sculpted by the G-type Blacklight virus and the G-virus endured this life-destroying heat.

While it was described as "sun-level heat" rather than temperatures exceeding the sun, this was because Chang Wei couldn't yet achieve nuclear fusion at temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius. His current fusion was akin to a "simulated solar reactor," which he deemed feasible.

Using the knowledge and memories in his mind, Chang Wei simulated the immense gravitational force created by the sun's massive mass. To achieve this, he substituted it with his telekinetic powers.

Under the influence of his powerful telekinesis, the electrons of hydrogen atoms within Chang Wei's body were stripped away, leaving the hydrogen nuclei free to exist as protons.

As is widely known, hydrogen atoms consist of one proton and one electron, so a hydrogen nucleus is essentially a proton. Solar nuclear fusion is easier than creating a hydrogen bomb, requiring only the fusion of four protons under weak nuclear forces to form a helium nucleus, releasing immense energy in the process.

Even so, the heat radiation Chang Wei now emitted was extraordinary, reaching temperatures of 15 million degrees Celsius, akin to the core of the sun. As his cells continued to output energy, the temperature could increase even further.

The molten lava on the ground was the result of the heat radiation emitted by Chang Wei.

After testing the load-bearing capacity of his cells, Chang Wei covered each cell with a layer of telekinetic shielding. This served to isolate the heat radiation; otherwise, his presence would render normal life impossible—anything or anyone approaching him would instantly vaporize. That would be unplayable.

Fortunately, after the G-virus reached its ultimate enhancement, the T-virus in Chang Wei's body also received a boost, driven by the G-virus and Blacklight virus. This amplified his telekinetic abilities, enabling him to effortlessly perform such micro-level manipulations. Chang Wei quickly completed this "cell membrane" operation.

As for the vast energy required to maintain these telekinetic shields? It was negligible compared to the energy released by his solar-reactor-like fusion. Chang Wei hardly cared about such a trivial consumption.

By isolating and even recycling heat radiation, Chang Wei's surface temperature returned to that of an ordinary human.

However, at this moment, the power of a single punch from Chang Wei was equivalent to the energy the sun released in one second. To put this into perspective, the energy released by the sun in one second could meet humanity's energy needs for 250,000 years.

Even a Superman with an indestructible body would be reduced to pulp with one punch from Chang Wei—provided it was the movie version of Superman.

What's more, Chang Wei possessed molecular-level force dissipation and micro-manipulation abilities. He didn't have to worry about unintentionally obliterating people with a mere touch. With his mastery over micro-level force control, Chang Wei could delicately thread a needle or perform high-precision surgeries.

"It's time to end this world…"

Having reaped substantial gains, Chang Wei lost interest in the possibility of encountering T-Veronica or fungal strands.

With a mere thought, his telepathic abilities enveloped the globe. Even hidden underwater bases were easily detected, alongside the exact number and types of lifeforms on Earth. He could even sense their brainwaves and resonate with them.

"Controlling billions of people to play along with me… What a tempting idea."

Chang Wei chuckled. The power to control others with a single thought was intoxicating. If not for his experiences across multiple worlds and the different perspectives he had gained, he might have been tempted to stay here indefinitely.

The idea amused him further—controlling all of humanity to hold a global beauty pageant, selecting the most beautiful individuals to indulge his whims. After all, he no longer needed to worry about physical stamina or organ failure.

But then he reminded himself:

"No, I'm a man with grand ambitions. My first must be Tifa, Orca, Scáthach, Esdeath, Teresa, or the like. The people of this Resident Evil world, no matter how beautiful, are just mundane beings."

With this firm reasoning, Chang Wei restrained himself. He clung tightly to this part of himself as if it were his core obsession. Letting go would mean losing his essence.

Absorbing knowledge and memories was almost making him inhuman. Constantly tempted or subconsciously driven toward transformation and quantum immortality… But no! His path was viral evolution, not quantum transcendence. Becoming a scientific version of Lucy and ascending to godhood? Absolutely not.

Under his telepathic sweep, Chang Wei quickly grasped the world's current state.

The T-enhanced virus he released at the Hive base had spread globally through the air, infecting the entire planet. It was even more aggressive than the original T-virus. Those infected retained full brain functionality and memory while exhibiting higher intelligence.

This was because Chang Wei had modified the T-enhanced virus to prioritize the brain. Upon infection, it would invade the brain first, converting its cells and preserving precious memories. As a result, infected individuals not only maintained high intelligence but were capable of using tools and firearms.

Alice, now unimpeded by Umbrella's interference, successfully evolved to the next stage—further merging with the T-virus.
