From Selena's perspective
Honestly? Now I believe in fate, that the right person is waiting for everyone, even if you are not looking for them. I and Felix, we found each other at a very young age, although we have been through a lot together, we are finally happy. After what happened in my teenage life, I would never have thought that I would end up getting engaged to my first love. Together with him, I fight for his mental health and overcome all obstacles towards a wonderful future.
We walk through the park, holding hands. The cold air envelops our faces and when we look at each other, at the same moment the first snowflakes fall from the sky, even though it's November.
We don't have to say anything. Our eyes reveal how strongly we feel for each other.
- Stop flirting! We are here, our friends! - Eve's scream makes all the birds fly away from the trees, frightened by her loud voice.
Lily runs towards us and hugs both me and Felix. She fell in love with him pretty quickly, it didn't take long.
"I missed you, aunt and uncle," she says.
It's very painful that we live far away from our friends. We can't see each other often. The last time they visited us in Los Angeles, when Hannah, Lucas, and Sebastian also joined.
- We did too, honey, we missed you so much.
Felix pats Mike on the shoulder in greeting.
- Friend, is it just me, or have you been spending a lot of time at the gym lately? You seem to be getting bigger with every session.
- It's that age, I have to take care of myself a bit more. I have an attractive wife, I'm afraid she'll cuckold me soon after the wedding - he says this deliberately to anger the blonde girl.
- Oh yeah? I think you're hitting the gym to pick up girls, so don't tell me I'm going to cuckold you. I would have said a few more words if my daughter wasn't here.
- I hear enough at home - the girl mutters, looking at her mother with indignation in her eyes. - Mom, you treat Dad badly. I have to complain to my aunt and uncle.
Felix and I look at our friends, feigning outrage at the child's words.
"If you two argue, I swear we're taking Lily with us," I announce.
The girl runs away from us and cuddles up to her father's legs.
- I love you, but I still want to stay with my parents. Mom doesn't treat Dad that badly.
The four of us burst out laughing. We had long ago realized that she was an intelligent girl.
"My blood," Mike states proudly.
My life is great right now. I hope it stays that way forever.

From Lucas' perspective
"Fucking fate. I hate that term," I mutter under my breath, taking a sip of coffee.
I'm sitting with Hannah in a café in a shopping mall. Initially, shopping turned into a foursome, and I wanted to spend this day just with my woman.
I'm sure I'll kill Sebastian when we're alone. He showed up out of nowhere, talking about fucking fate and bragging about finally having a woman.
Fuck it.
Now I won't be the most important person to him. Until now, I was his greatest boss, the person he couldn't live without.
I feel sick when I look at his woman, baring her teeth like a puppet and looking happy.
I could have imposed a relationship ban on him if I had known that he would pursue women.
"It's really wonderful. Selena told me that your first meeting also happened during a car accident. Who would have thought it would happen again when you're in a different place? Hate turned into love, it's like my relationship with Lucas," Hannah states, and I smile cynically.
- We are the original, they are the fake - I murmur. - Sebastian drew inspiration from me.
He gives me a worried look, noticing that I'm not in the mood. He guesses pretty quickly that it has something to do with him.
Hannah plays it over and over again, being nice to Sebastian's fiancée and continuing the topic.
"I've known Sebastian since high school, so I'm pleased he finally met the right woman. I was afraid he'd just work his whole life," she says, shooting me a furious look, as if she blamed me.
- Because that's how it was supposed to be - I answer.
Sebastian's woman, whose name is Violetta if I recall correctly, keeps giving me worried glances as if I were some kind of dangerous type.
- Fate can be hilarious. Who would believe that the first time I saw Lucas was when he was riding a motorbike, and I was sitting on a bus. The next meeting, not very pleasant, took place in a club, where I was kidnapped by him.
I smile devilishly as Violetta almost spits out the latte she's been drinking.
- Kidnapped? - she asks in a scared voice.
She's such a timid kitten, she's afraid of everything, literally everything. I don't like women like that.
Well... I didn't expect that Sebastian likes submissive. You can see it in her, at first glance.
- It's a long story, and there was a spark between us from the very beginning. No guy has ever made me fall for him like that before. I fought for his heart for over a year - Hannah proudly states.
- Wow, Lucas looks like a hard nut to crack – says Violetta.
- I don't look like a nut at all. - I scold her. - All the more reason to crack it.
Sebastian's girlfriend is confused.
- Sorry. - Hannah immediately intervenes. - He's such a big kid, always grumpy.
Even though I'm teasing her, laughing deep inside. Since I stopped teasing Selena, I seem to have found myself a new victim.
Sebastian is close to me, so Violette can also be considered my sister-in-law.
I look into the eyes of my beautiful girlfriend, who is giving me a warning look to behave myself.
I love her, so I'm going to be good until the end of the meeting. Furthermore, I'll listen to her for once, I don't want her to be mad at me.
