"Wuwuwu, going to school is really boring."
Lying bored on the desk, watching the teacher's mouth move.
Tohka had quite an exciting few days, but now she had to sit here and obediently listen to the lesson—it would be strange if she could muster any enthusiasm.
"Look, this is my newest idol, 'Spider-Man'..."
Then, during the break, Tohka heard Flash loudly shouting, holding a picture of Spider-Man in his hand.
She was a little surprised that this guy had already become a fan of Spider-Man so soon. But Tohka couldn't help but laugh at the thought of how he would react if he found out that his most admired hero was actually Peter Parker, the guy he bullied all the time.
"Ah, class is finally over."
But before Tohka could rush out, she was stopped. Mary Jane and Gwen grabbed her, one on each side.
"What are you guys doing? Why aren't you looking for Harry and Peter Parker?"
"That's just guy stuff, no need for us girls to worry. Come on, we noticed you don't usually dress up much, so let's go shopping together."
After saying that, the two of them didn't give Tohka any time to react and dragged her out.
"Hey, hey, it's not like I don't have clothes! I have enough clothes to fill an entire house."
Tohka didn't struggle too hard since they were just taking her out to have fun, not doing anything bad.
But she wasn't wrong—Tony and Pepper had bought her so many clothes that they were still lying around in Tony's mansion.
"It's fine. Even if you have a lot of clothes, we can still buy accessories. And makeup! Honestly, we're so jealous of you. You do nothing, yet your skin and hair are so perfect."
At this point, Mary Jane felt a little envious. Tohka was Asian, and no matter how fair her skin was, it still had a slight yellow undertone.
Ironically, this was the skin tone that many American girls dreamed of having. The world really was strange—Asians wanted to be whiter, while white people wanted to be tanner.
"Hey, you guys..."
But the two of them didn't care what Tohka thought. They just dragged her out of school and headed toward the nearest subway.
"Mmm, Tohka, with you here, we feel much safer."
On the subway, the group started chatting. But suddenly, Gwen complained to Tohka, leaving her confused.
"You probably don't know, but my dad is a cop. He said police casualties have skyrocketed recently, not even counting those two big incidents."
Those weren't things the police could handle alone, but lately, for some reason, crime has been increasing as well."
"He told me not to go out alone, even during the day, and that it's best to travel in groups. So, it's great having you here—now we can go anywhere without worries!"
Seeing Tohka looking lost, Gwen had no choice but to explain further.
There was nothing to be done—Tohka wasn't scared of petty theft or even large-scale shootouts.
She was confident she could go in and out of those situations unharmed, so she didn't care about this stuff at all.
But... the more Gwen talked, the more sketchy it sounded. Was she basically saying she wanted to drag Tohka along to go looking for trouble?
"Ahem, Gwen. Mind your words, okay? We're here to shop, not to cause trouble."
Seeing Gwen going a bit overboard, Mary Jane quickly stepped in to stop her from saying more.
Even if what she said was technically true, saying it out loud made her sound like a delinquent girl who liked to stir up trouble.
"Tch." Gwen just snorted in response and didn't say anything more.
At that moment, the subway arrived at the station, and Tohka was playing with her phone.
As soon as the doors opened, a figure suddenly lunged toward Tohka, snatching at her phone and trying to run away.
But this is Tohka we're talking about—her strength is no joke.
Instinctively, she gripped her phone tightly with one hand and grabbed the would-be thief with the other.
"Crack" and "Ahh!"—two sounds rang out at the same time, Tohka had unconsciously used her spirit power, and her strength had surged dramatically.
She ended up crushing her own phone, and the unlucky thief had his arm broken right then and there.
Forget running—he was now rolling on the ground, clutching his arm in pain.
"Uhh..." The two girls stared in shock. They hadn't expected Tohka to be this strong.
Then they saw Tohka calmly remove the SIM card from her crushed phone and toss the broken device aside.
Next, she pulled out another phone from her pocket and continued playing.
Looking as if absolutely nothing had happened.
As for the unlucky guy, the police soon arrived and took him away.
Surprisingly though, they didn't even ask Tohka for a statement.
"How many phones is that now? Looks like I need to figure out a way to get some vibranium from the Black Panther's country to make a phone case."
"That way I won't crush things so easily when I pick them up."
Though Tohka looked calm, she had already been silently complaining in her heart.
There was no helping it—she'd been going through phones a bit too often lately.
To be honest, in her previous life as a not-so-wealthy otaku, she naturally felt incredibly distressed about this.
"Um, Tohka... didn't you know? It's best not to use your phone when the subway stops at a station."
"Especially where you're sitting—that spot's known for frequent snatch-and-run thefts."
Seeing Tohka calmly playing on her phone while people around them stared, Mary Jane figured she should probably explain things to Tohka a bit.
But then again, someone who can literally fly around probably doesn't use the subway much.
"It can't be that bad, right?" Tohka was also a bit surprised by this.
Back in her previous life in China, this kind of thing was practically unimaginable.
Petty theft might happen, sure—but blatant snatching like this was almost unheard of.
"It's fine, don't worry about it, Mary Jane. Anyone who targets her is just unlucky—look at that guy just now, that's what happens."
"I know who she is—she's the 'Princess,' the eldest daughter of the Stark family."
"She's actually taking the subway today, can I get a..."
At this point, someone finally recognized Tohka. As for why they didn't notice her earlier...
Tohka usually gave people the impression of always flying around in the air, not to mention the Stark family's armor—Tohka herself could already fly on her own.
Yeah, Tohka taking the subway felt like Spider-Man driving a car, and nobody even knows if that guy has a license, but what's certain is he probably hasn't even driven a car in his life.
It was only after Tohka made a move that people finally realized who she was.
