Anger, anxiety is what Vincent felt from the pressure he always receives from his so called best friend. Wasn't best friends supposed to support each other even if you plan to kill the president of a country, or they were supposed to encourage or compliment you even when the dress you wore has nothing to do with beauty and you looked like shit. Or maybe when you planned to rob a bank they should encourage you at least you have a job, hahahaha that was too much.
But here he was, his best friend pressuring him to get a girlfriend like an adult over 40 plus being pressured by parents who wants to have grandkids before their death. Even his parents weren't giving him any kind of pressure to get himself a girlfriend and to even talk about wife as such.
He had to get out of that place or else what he would have say would bring bad energy between them. Maybe going out to get a fresh air will calm himself down before he gives in to his anger.
He passed through the main hall of the campus and he was approached by a pretty lady with crop top and and a black jean skirt that could draw any man's attention to her and not to talk about her Brazilian hair that cost a fortune but the one in particular targeted for this seduction had his mind out of this world.
In fact, all he could think about was Jae Won. How would he feel if he got a girlfriend and then he argues with himself 'why would I think of something like that?' he thought and then gets a reply 'it doesn matter, he is like my brother so I want his opinions on many things' then he answers to himself only to be blocked by someone whose perfume was damaging his nose.
This pulled him out of his trance as his gaze now fell on the lady standing in front of him as she stood seductively posing like a poll dancer in a strip club.
"Can I help you?" Vincent asked, his voice indifference clearly revealing he wasn't really interested in the response that was coming out or her lips but had to listen to it anyway.
After waiting for a few seconds while she showcase her good side she thought could seduce even the Roman priest but that man in front of her has finally become impotent due to an unknown reasons only known to him and even if she had to strip naked and open her legs right in front of him, he was going to pass by like a dog who had been given a soap for lunch that's when she finally answered "can you go on a date with me?".
"I'm sorry but I'm not sorry, I have girlfriend" he said but the reaction of the lady brought attention to the two people who seems like talking about just stuffs "what?!!!!!!" she said "when did you get a girlfriend and no one knows about? But you haven't dated again since that last lucky bitch who lost her chance" she said in a gritted teeth as if she would have beaten her black and blue if she was in front of her.
But Vincent had no time to waste on this lady as he started to move to God knows where. After the lady talked to her satisfaction did she realize Vincent was almost gone as she shouted on top of her voice drawing more attention to herself and "I'm gonna try till you accept to go on one date just one date with me. Trust me, you will begged me to hang out with you. What matters is the first date" she said the last part in a lowered voice as if her confidence level had just dropped to the lowest point.
Vincent walked around through half of the school and was approached by two or three ladies asking the same request as the first one. It was as if they had announced every lady should try their luck and crown the champion who managed to get Vincent to accept their date and he gave the reply as the first one and their reactions is needed to seen with one naked eyes not to listen but only one person won and she didn't even have to pop the question.
After Vincent managed to get the ladies out of his back. He decided to get back to his hostel now that he has finally managed to calm himself down which a lot went to Vincent thinking about Jae Won in so many scenarios.
The thought of Jae Won actually calmed him which baffles his mind but now that he has found his medication to anger he plan on making use of it.
It's been two to three hours since he left the hostel and had this inkling feelings he had to see Jae Won as he wears going to die if he doesn't so he abandoned all thought and temptations just to go and see his face until when he was approached by Emelia who looked like beaten thief, without wasting no time Vincent rush towards her and held her hand in a soft and gentle way that even she had misinterpreted.
She thought maybe Vincent is beginning to like him as a woman and not a sister as she smiled at Vincent who smiled back. "What happened? Don't tell me it's menstural cramps again" Vincent asked and answered his questions. It seems Vincent has been possessed by a question and answer spirit.
This made Emelia laughed forgotten her pain. "Why don't you go and rest and what the hell are you doing out side?" He asked as his face was laced with worrying.
"I came to get a pain reliever and I'm on my way back" but she was given flip on her forehead for thinking like a child. "Oooouch" she screamed in pain.
"Why didn't you call me to buy it for you. Now see yourself….you look like an old woman who was raped" he said.
He helped Emelia back to her hostel and watched her as she took the pain reliever. She helped her lay in her bed. Vincent would have left her to her roommate but she was no where to be found and had to do it by himself.
After he managed to put Emelia to sleep after he sung a whole lullaby like a mother putting her one year baby to sleep. He entered straight to the kitchen and prepared a meal out of the ingredients that was left.
He was done with the meal and Emelia had not waken up so he went ahead and make himself comfortable as he sat on the couch and scroll through Netflix and then began to watch a show that caught his attention.
He managed to watch through thirty minutes of the show as he slept through the rest of the show even till the next.
"Clink, Clank" was the sound that woke Vincent up from his sleep. He raised his head only to find Emelia stuffing her mouth with the Ampesi (cooked yam and stew) he had prepared.
Her eyes lighted when he saw Vincent "mmmmmuu….didn't….mmmmmm" cough cough cough she tried to speak "hey relax, just swallow before you talk. I'm not disappearing any time soon" he said as he got up from the couch and walked towards Emelia who didn't even take a portion of the food just eating it right from the steel where Vincent cooked in it and standing over the kitchen counter.
"You looked like a dead monkey that's why I didn't wake you up" she was able to speak after she swallowed and had to use water to push it down for easy digestion.
"How are you feeling now" Vincent asked genuinely "as you can see, I'm fine as a rock depending on what I'm eating now" she answered as she went back to scoring herself some goals down her throat.
Vincent watched her as she stuffed herself with the food she didn't sweat a single for it "eating food without raising a finger is the most delicious on this planet" she said as she smiled to herself.
"Where is Jae Won" she finally asked the most important question. "Probably in the hostel" he asnswered, his voice a little shaky.
"You've been here for three whole hours leaving him alone at the host…" she didn't get to complete her sentence when Vincent cut her off "he is with Akwasi".
"Wait, Akwasi is in and this is weird. You two are like two peas in a pod, one doesn't leave the other behind. So how are you two gonna live apart if he goes back to his country. Wait you didn't even tell me how you two met and how he ended up living with you guys" she finally ended her interrogation waiting for answers.
Vincent expression changed from all smiley to a little frown "how we met, I will tell you another time since it's a long story" he answered.
Emelia put a piece of yam into her mouth when she suddenly asked "this reminds me, why didn't you tell Jae Won you would be interning at your father's company which technically would be yours in the next few years".
Vincent was quiet for a while, he lowered his head and then back at Emelia "just wanted to surprised him" he said.
Emelia stood there for a while processing the most funny thing she has ever heard but couldn't laugh though "surprised?!! What are you?, his lover….never mind. Why did you want to surprise him though. You could just tell him sharp and you are done?" She said.
Vincent's forehead creased with thought, he scratched the back of his head as he couldn't find words to explained why he thought of that.
"Honestly,I don't know why…." he stopped as his thoughts wandered off.
