His spider-sense started to die down when the immediate threat was revealed, the lenses on his black mask widened in realization.
Villains.
...
"Everyone out the door, now!" The black-haired man barked, Peter saw how the students were slowly coming to a realization of what was happening. Not wasting more time than necessary, Eraserhead pulled his goggles up over his eyes and jumped into the crowd of villains without saying a word.
Peter had to admit, that was kinda cool.
Should he jump down and help him out? The guy wasn't suited for larger crowds, he specialized in short-length sneak attacks. But Peter had to bite down the urge to join his teacher and resorted to putting faith in him.
Thirteen began to try to shepherd the class out of the entrance, the shellshocked teens finally starting to react to the situation at hand. When looking over the group, it was clear that some were more afraid than others in this situation. "Kids! Get out, now! Quickly!" The space hero called, her orders dying at her throat when a larger mass of purple smoke blocked off the entrance.
"Greetings, students of UA! We are the league of villains a-"
A snicker rang out from the crowd, the mass' yellow eyes portrayed a confused expression at the sound.
"… We are the league of villains and w-"
A snort, followed by muffled laughter. The mist-like villain's eyes landed on a masked teen who was trying to repress his laughter.
"L-Look, I'm sorry! It's just that the-" Another snort came from Peter, the boy taking a second to regain his composure. "I-Its just that the name sounds dumb, man! What? Was 'L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N' taken?"
Alright, Peter was used to joking around in dangerous situations to keep himself calm, but this? This was just too good to pass up!
"Fuck off and die, villain!" Screamed Bakugo as he blasted himself at the man, being followed by Rumi and Kirishima.
Seeing the loss of composure, Rumi, Bakugo, and Kirishima had simultaneously leaped forward at the man. Peter saw how even though he didn't seem to have a physical body, he still made an effort to move around the attacks.
His lenses narrowed as he looked at the metal brace amidst the mass of smoke, that had to be a weak spot!
"You know what? Whatever, I'll just scatter you here and now!" Suddenly, giant whirls of mist swallowed at a good half of the students where they stood.
Peter backflipped as he saw Rumi, Mirio, and Moe be absorbed by the smoke, his momentary distraction making him unable to react to his spider-sense warning of a portal behind him.
Before he could do anything, all he saw was darkness.
...
You know, Peter was having a decently good day today.
He found 2000 yen on his way to school, got a piece of candy from an old lady after helping her cross the street, and even got more than 4 hours of sleep, and you know what the universe does to ruin that?
By having some ghastly-looking guy along with a group of villains with a dumb name show up and attack his school on his 5th day there. Well, one thing leads to another, and now he's falling out of a portal and onto a small cityscape that is on fire.
Just his luck, huh? He was actually looking forward to this trip!
Alright, must be about 50 feet until he hits the ground, he could probably take the fall but it would hurt. Web net? Maybe. He shot his wrists forward, two fingers on the trigger of his web-shooters to try and save himself from the fall.
Or that's what he was doing before he suddenly just… stopped falling? That wasn't how gravity worked last time he checked.
"Hey! Nice threads, man! Love the black!" Peter felt something wrap around his waist, that must be what stopped his fall but that didn't explain where that voice was. Turning his head to the side he was met with the beaked and shadowy face of that shadow monster the bird guy could make.
Well, at least he wasn't alone.
The… thing started to pull him towards places unknown. Once his vision adjusted he could see that the creature was attached to a trail that led to a rooftop, and connected to that trail was the bird guy who he was sure was named Tokoyami standing on a rooftop.
A couple of seconds later, the sentient quirk dropped him off at the rooftop and retreated back into Tokoyami's abdomen with one last thumbs up.
"Uh, nice weather, am I right?" Peter joked as he got to his feet, only getting a weird look from the bird-headed teen.
"I… suppose. Are you alright, Parker?" He asked.
"Yeah, thanks for the save, by the way! Could've been a rough landing, man." Peter flashed a smile behind the mask, stretching where he stood.
"I do not require gratitude for simply aiding a fellow classmate, but you are very much welcome." The shorter boy gave a nod.
"He didn't do anything, man! That was all me!" The sentient quirk's head popped out of his cloak, spoke its piece, and retreated back into the darkness.
Peter had to admit, that was kinda freaky.
Still cool, though! He wished he had a shadow monster.
Deciding to ignore his quirk's comments, Tokoyami tried to get back on topic. "Well, this appears to be the conflagration zone, so we must still be inside the USJ. I believe that we should try to escape and rejoin our class back at the entrance."
Peter only nodded, not giving a verbal response as he looked at their surroundings. A burning suburbian setting that was set aflame, he stepped forward, peeking over the edge of the roof, and looked down at the streets that seemed to be filled with villains.
His lenses narrowed as he looked around; he counted at least 30-45 different people with varying quirks who were patrolling the area, with 5 of them guarding the exit that would lead them to the rest of the facility.
He'd have to either fight his way out or sneak by, from what he understood.
"Tokoyami, can you tell me what you can do? It'll help us make a plan on how to get out of here." The brunette asked, making classmate perk up from where he stood at being addressed.
"My quirk is called 'Dark Shadow', and as yo-" The boy began to explain, but the both of them were interrupted by the low rumbling that shook the building they were standing on.
His spider-sense blared, making him hold his head and look around the roof only to see no immediate threats.
That's where the realization hit him.
Below!
*BOOM!!*
Peter dove forward and grabbed hold of Tokoyami as the roof spot they were standing caved in, the teen jumped over to the edge of the building and landing in a crouch while letting Tokoyami to his feet. Out of the gaping hole that had appeared, a hulking mass climbed out along with the deafening sound of whirring drills.
Peter's lenses widened in shock as a black-haired man who must've been around 8'3 climbed out of the hole and stood tall before them. He wore a white suit covered in black stripes along with what Peter guessed was a fedora. The most noticeable feature the man had were the two extra arms with cone-like drill bits instead of hands he possessed.
All in all, Peter didn't need his spider-sense to tell that the guy was a threat.
He scowled as he looked down at them, his hardened eyes looking them up and down as if searching for something.
"Tokoyami, get out of here! Now!" Peter ordered as he entered a low crouch, the boy next to him did a double-take at what he was told.
"What?! I am not leaving you to face a villain alone!" He protested, Peter only sighed and stood back up while looking at him.
"I wasn't asking."
He grabbed ahold of th shorter teen, hopping up to the ledge and simply dropping him on the fire escape on the side of the building. Peter looked down at him while the bird-headed teen tried to protest.
"Hey, you're strong, right? So you can hold your own against regular villains. Just let me handle this, alright? I got this." Peter flashed a thumbs up and a smile; Tokoyami paused for a second before nodding and running down the fire escape and onto the streets below.Peter sighed and turned around to see his opponent still staring him down, not having moved an inch during that entire time.
"Please let me got this."
The villain gave a huff and charged forward, his footsteps shaking the ground they stood on. Seeing him engage, Peter sprung forward with a dive kick that hit the man square in the chest, making him stagger. "Alright, Excadrill! You and me, let's go!"
He grabbed Peter's foot and swung him into the ground like a ragdoll, the boy quickly shot webbing at the man's eyes and backed away when he was blinded, he'd be the first to admit that hurt.
