Alexis blinked her eyes open, staring for a few moments before lowering her gaze to the spot where Sereia had curled up to her before falling asleep last night. But Reia was nowhere to be found, so she assumed that she was probably back into that recuperative sleep she took sometimes.
She turned on the bed and went completely still the second her gaze fell on Keelion who lay on his back fast asleep with his head turned towards her.
His white strands were tousled roughly and a few fell over his face, slightly covering the surprisingly noticeable length of his snow-coloured lashes that paired well with the blueness of his eyes.
He was beautiful—really beautiful like no one she'd ever laid eyes on before. But then, his beauty was a cruel one too. He wasn't delicate in any way. He was beautiful so much it was gut-wrenching—yet he was frightening.
