Alexis gulped down her food, ignoring the giddy feeling in her stomach. Right when Keelion retracted his hand, she proceeded to ask, "Keelion, what is going on with Augustus?"
"What do you mean?" The man arched his brow.
"He said…it is now his job to protect me and he was doing it under your order…"
"Yes he is," Keelion responded. "Why? Do you have a problem with it?"
Alexis shook her head. "No. It's just…you told him."
"I did."
"D-do you trust him?"
Keelion stared at her and crossed his legs, fingers steepled. "Augustus is the only man I trust. There is nothing about me he doesn't know. Do you know why?"
