Lyndon approached Alexis who'd made a list of the boxes within the storage room.
"Are you done?"
"Yes." Alexis nodded, handing the list to him.
He stared at her for a few seconds and slowly smiled. "It feels quite nostalgic, you know."
She blinked cluelessly at him.
He laughed. "You used to be very…clueless, weak, didn't know how to do a thing. But now, you're much better, good at almost everything. Capable. Makes me proud, ya know?"
Alexis tried stifling the smile that spread on her lips. She slowly bowed to him and cleared her throat. "Thank you!"
The man ruffled her hair. "You're very cute sometimes." Then he pointed at the remaining boxes. "You can try moving those boxes with Kaelis."
She nodded and moved along, pulling the hem of her shirt to her elbows. She bent and picked up the box, then proceeded to leave. However right before she could get to the door, she tripped over something, falling with a thud.
