Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Final Confrontation on the 100th Floor

After forming his army in the depths of hell, Absoria, the God of the Void and of Evil, led his soldiers through the 99 infernal floors. With each conquered level, Absoria's army grew—while beings once held captive joined his cause or left the ranks to pursue their own path, freed from their chains.

Absoria slew every leader who dared oppose him, unyielding in his quest for domination. Finally, he and his army reached the 100th floor—the most formidable of them all. This place was unlike the others; it exuded an overwhelming aura of power and terror. Absoria felt the pressure, yet he did not falter.

His soldiers, faithful and determined, followed their leader to the grand hall where the final guardian awaited. A heavy silence reigned as they entered the chamber. Styre and Garu, two of Absoria's most loyal lieutenants, offered to face the last chief.

"No," Absoria replied in a calm but firm voice. "You are not yet strong enough. This final adversary is far more powerful than you can imagine."

Understanding the gravity of the situation, Styre, Garu, and the others respectfully withdrew, leaving their master to face the ultimate battle alone. The final guardian stood there, imposing and serene, as if he had awaited this moment for centuries.

Absoria halted before him, fixing him with a steely gaze. "What is your name, final guardian?"

The guardian answered in a deep voice, "I am Pelios. And you will not leave here. It is my duty to stop you, and I shall do so."

Remaining impassive, Absoria then murmured mentally to Stellearte, "What are the odds that I win against him?"

Stellearte—the voice of knowledge and probability—replied, "Owner, your chances of victory against Pelios are 70%. However, he possesses a skill called Stref, which reduces the success rate of any entity that confronts him. At present, that lowers our odds to 43%. You will have only one chance, for this probability may drop further."

Unruffled, Absoria nodded. "Very well. Find me a weapon that can guarantee my victory."

After a brief silence, Stellearte responded, "The most suitable weapon for this situation is Milios, a blade that strikes directly at the soul of the adversary."

Absoria smiled slightly. "Then it is with this weapon that I shall end this battle."

Noticing Absoria's silent exchange, Pelios took a defensive stance. "You should not underestimate the difficulty of this fight. No matter your power, here you stand no chance."

Absoria invoked Milios—a spectral, black blade shimmering with a dark, menacing light. He wielded it with unshakable mastery, feeling the weapon's power resonate with his own spirit.

"Your duty is noble, Pelios," declared Absoria as he advanced slowly. "But you are merely one more obstacle in my path."

The combat erupted in a whirlwind of violence and power. Bolstered by his skill Stref, Pelios launched attacks with fearsome precision, seeking to end Absoria's reign. Yet the God of the Void, despite his reduced odds, dodged with an almost supernatural agility, using his mastery over probabilities to counter every strike.

The blade Milios struck not only at Pelios' body but also at his very soul, gradually eroding his resistance. The battle intensified, with every blow from Absoria further weakening the guardian. Once confident of his victory, Pelios began to feel the grip of defeat closing in on him.

At last, Absoria found a decisive opening. In one fluid motion, he plunged Milios into the heart of Pelios' soul, obliterating the life force that animated the guardian.

Pelios collapsed, his gaze fading little by little. "You... are truly worthy of your renown... God of the Void," he murmured in his final breath.

Unyielding, Absoria watched him vanish into the darkness. "And now, all of hell lies at my feet."
